There's normally a Cerrone or Guilard type fight on the prelims to get people to tune in, get excited and buy the PPV.

Don't worry folks, GSP has thunderous right hands covered.

    Oh.

    Hendricks won't touch him.

Hendricks only chance is in the 1st or early 2nd round with his knockout power. His wrestling won't mean shit against GSP.

This could easily be 5 rounds of jabbing just like the Kos fight.

Hendricks is one dimensional, GSP will game-plan him as he's done with every other one-tactic fighter he's met, unless he has something completely different up his sleeve he'll have a punchers chance and GSP has learned how to stay out of the way of punches.

Gameplanned to oblivion is my worry. Along with Jones, there's no-one better at implementing a game plan to nullify an opponent. Unfortunately, he also nullifies the entertainment to some extent.
He has made a few noises about "working on his finishing" and taking the finish when it presents itself... lets see.

gsp has had 6 decisions in a row, dont see this one being much different sadly. Hope big rig sparks him out cold in the first!

    Blasphemy!

What do you think this announcement is that GSP is talking about? A drop to lightweight is my guess.

Perhaps he's looking to retire with a win.

Can't be a drop to lightweight, he struggles to make WW and is shredded as heck.

he has been moaning for years about how hard his training camps are on his body, he might hint at retirement but i dont think he will do it just yet.

although just watched http://www.cagepotato.com/what-was-up-with-johny-hendricks-last-night-on-fox-sports-live-video/ and he says he has no intention of retiring yet

I think he wants to start cementing his legacy at this stage with SUPERFIGHTS(tm).

    Fight niiiiiiiiight!

Always super pumped when GSP is fighting. Probably gonna stay up, but I'm not sure if I can withstand the awful British commentary on BT Sports.

Predictions: Cerrone, Woodley, Bagautinov, MacDonald, Sonnen, and GSP all to win.

What British commentary? I usually tape the live shows and I've never seen anything other than the US feed.

The last event I watched on BT Sports -- the London card -- kept going back to a British studio in between the fights to do analysis. The anchor could barely pronounce the names of the fighters. T'was 'orrible.

UFC was made for recording and watching the next morning. You can watch a 3 hour show in around 50 minutes once you fast forward all the shite.

Ah, I think I missed that one. The last few I've watched have just been the straight US feed with the occasional BT Sport spinning logo between the million ad breaks Americans seem to have.

BT only have the Brit studio on when it's on at a sensible hour over here. I think they did it when the UFC was last in Sweden also.

I've GSP wining too and, actually, by knockout. The drug testing mess and Johnny's lack of conditioning beyond round two, I think he might do it.
Sonnen wins, suspect Evans is past his dynamic best.
Would like Lawler to win, and, punchers chance and everything, so going with that. I don't quite buy into the MacDonald hype train yet.
I'll go with Elliot over Bagutinov, just to be different.
Struggle to care about the Kos/Woodley fight, Would like to see Koscheck smeared across the canvas though...

Feel the same about Kos -- I like to see him get beat up! But it would kinda be nice to see him win on the 20th anniversary show, seeing how he's a real "company man" and been fighting for so long.

@bitch_tits_zero_nine the more I think about it the mire it seems like a good idea. Just need to pace myself with the drink.

I fear that the whole main card will be a snoozefest full of UD's, but I hope not.

I'm looking forward to see Sergio Pettis fight.
