Good to see Moses is settling in well at Chelsea. Appalling dive for their penalty.

It was an enjoyable game tonight, Mata bossed everything and all the debutants looked great. Azpilicueta was the biggest surprise as he showed good strength in defence and put in some great crosses, maybe one or two question marks about his positioning but its early days.
Marin got on for a bit at the end, he has just come back from a hamstring injury which seems to have been a problem for him over the whole of last season so we are easing him in. He was involved in a goal within something like 30 seconds of getting on (although Oscar deserves the plaudits for his smart cross) and set Torres up with a sitter (which he fluffed). Wolves were not really up for it tbh so we can't get too overconfident but it was a good sign of things to come from these young lads.

It did look like a dive from where I was sitting tbf although the replay I have seen looks like there is contact, where are you watching the highlights?

SSN. He was falling over before the gk touched him, and just fell on him.

Cheers, can't be fucked waiting for the next rotation. Its a shame carling cup coverage is so shite.

The footage on 101greatgoals is terrible quality but it does look like the keeper comes out, misses the ball and has contact with Moses but he did go down very easy.

Meh don't know why I get so bothered about things. On paper we should've done better than we did last night but what with the weather, it not being on TV or any stream at all and the general wankness of it all I shouldn't be surprised that City limped out last night.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is that Tevez played the whole 120minutes when we need him for Sat and that we shipped 4 goals to Villa at home. Feel sorry for the fans who turned up, tickets weren't cheap and it must've been very depressing. Then to top it all off Mancini has a hissyfit at Lambert in the press afterwards. Looks like things are getting to someone.

I've just the Gareth Barry og from last night, quite possibly one of the most bizarre og's I've ever seen!

@fergal_oc I was really surprised Tevez didn't start against us on Sunday considering he only played an hour or so in Madrid.

Nice dive from Rooney, just then.

Hardly surprising. They are playing against a better team.

Giroud has a pelanty saved. A well taken and well saved one by all accounts.

Was delayed for a few minutes by streakers on the pitch. Let's blame those fuckers for the miss.

Rule of Twitter: if a player scores he looks/is/will be 'top class', regardless of reality.

Not League Cup related but Klose just scored with his hand for Lazio, ref allowed it but Klose admitted to it and the goal was disallowed, nice to see the honesty

Good to see Cleverley finally get a goal, he's missed some sitters the past couple of months, so that'll hopefully do him some good. The DVD will probably available on his website now, the great big posing tart.

Anderson was excellent tonight too, though he was blowing out of his arse for the last 15 minutes.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.
