Speakers can usually be fixed fairly easily. You'll need to open it up and check the wiring. One of the wires probably got pulled out. How's your soldering?

If the problem is with the contact between the speaker and the stereo you may have a slightly larger problem on your hands.

It's probably got a little bit of plastic trapped between the diaphram and the frame, open it and give it a blow or drop it again.

Plus if you already think it's busted you won't be too pissed off if you actualy do break it but if you fix it, \o/ buzz big time!

Is the buzzing more pronounced when playing loud bass tones?

Ok the problem just got abit weirder, i just put in a dvd (Black Books3) to see how it sounded and it was perfect, and so i thought the problem was fixed then i switched back to Sky and the problem came back again and the other speakers except for the Front Right are doing the same buzzy thing too, whats going on?

Hehe, asha, almost the same thing happened me once.... once upon a time...

    /does wavey effect

It all happened not so long ago when I realised during the Halo 2 surround sound test (comes with the DVD, excellent little test) that one, maybe two, speakers were emitting a quiet fuzzy noise and barely any 'real' sound.

Basically, I fixed it by unplugging all the wiring from the bass unit and DVD and setting the whole thing up again.

    Hope that helps :)

    Bump.

Setting up a soundbar with my telly at home. I've just connected RCA-RCA via two individual M-M leads. The soundbar works well for bluetooth streaming etc.

But when I try to play sound from the set, both the built-in speakers and soundbar are outputting audio. Shouldn't the built-in speakers shut off with a different audio output connected? Where should I start looking to fix this?

    Thanks.
