Can't blame them for chasing the £££.

Loved the game but absolutely do not want this.

The trailer actually made me feel a whole lotta feels. Especially seeing the murdered one whose name I forget. That could be a cool storyline.

Some info here, pc xbox ps4, separate story (no Rachel and the dark room), bonus episode where you play as Max.

@Tomo Same. For all I said about an hour ago that it felt a bit pointless revisiting the world after such a perfectly contained story I have now watched the trailer seven or eight times

So many feelings, and seeing Rachel Amber after her ever-present absence at the heart of the first game oh maaan

What am I missing with this series? Have it sitting on my hard drive but it's angsty teen point and click with a side order of supernatural.

I haven't been 16 in a very long time, so err?

i played it 18 months ago or so....when i was 42...and loved it...;) yes, it's teeny and slangy and stuff but it's dark and deals with some fairly heavy themes and outcomes...good use of music as well...

if it's a self-contained sequel, i'm up for it...nothing much more that could be done with max...

It's not really just about being a teenager. That's a backdrop for a load of other, often seriously dark stuff. The slightly play-doh characters and peak indie music are very misleading. The original LiS tackles some really interesting and mature themes. There are some jaw dropping moments in the game. Several in fact, that I will never forget.

My only real qualm is that it took a chapter or two for the story to really kick in. But that time is used for you to invest in the characters for the story to pay off.

Everyone feels a bit cliched to begin with but it really takes off as characters come into their own, relationships develop and the underlying plot comes to the fore

Emotional rollcoaster like nothing else I've played

Noticed it was up on xbox store to preorder yesterday. £13.99 for the season or £19.99 for the deluxe edition with the Max farewell episode.

Not too pleased with this update http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-06-11-three-part-life-is-strange-prequel-confirmed

Hopefully she'll at least sound similar to stop it being too jarring.

I actually preferred the parts of Life Is Strange that were just normal college life indie kid stuff.

There are a ton of games about time travel, supernatural forces, premonitions, and super powers. But not many about dorking about in the sun listening to phased-out guitars.

Nah. The story itself did a good job of filling in the back story and gave you enough to let your imagination do the rest.

I wonder if the SE PR guy stepping in was as awkward in real life as it reads on the screen

I thought it was weird timing for the PR guy to intervene. It wasn't even they started talking about the strikes, it was a few questions in. And they didn't really day much. I guess they just wanted the dev to talk about how she was the mocap actress.

That was rather excellent. I wouldn't have noticed the change in actress had I not known. I don't really think the rewind mechanic is missed that much either. I miss Max, but Rachel is intriguing and it's great playing as Chloe. Seems a lot more hands off than the first game, more cutscenes and less gameplay. Doesn't bother me but it might others. Very much enjoyed it though, it's nice being back in the bay and I'm excited to see where they take it.

Not had chance to play this yet, going to try and find a bit of time at the weekend, similar episode length to LiS? I usually stretched those out to 2 or 3 days of looking in all the nooks and crannies.

@gamecat it took me a little under three hours, looking at what felt like a fair bit of stuff, though I only found the first three of ten collectibles so I can't have been looking too hard.

Think I'm probably about halfway through and enjoying it a lot. Was really put off by the different voice actor at the start, but after about half an hour I got mostly used to them.

The writing seems just as good, though the change in character combined with them being younger makes them a bit more annoying imo.

Ultimately it's just great to be back in that world.

The first bit worries me, since I found that character annoying at times last time round.

The last line reassures me though. Think I'll wait for xmas/New Year and pick it up so I have a few episodes to play though. I hate waiting between them when I invariably get involved in the story.

Got about a 1/3 of the way though last night, seemed like a perfect extension of the original which I loved and can't wait to finish up over the next couple of days.

Considering the different voice actress and a new team working on this, very impressed so far.

Finished up last night and looking forward to episode 2, hope its not too far away.

Really enjoyed this, another recommendation for anyone who enjoyed the original.
