The switch isn't really that cheap by the time you bought a few games and accessories.

    I'd keep saving.

Whereas they're for free on other consoles and PCs.

You sound pretty keen on the Switch. Plus you'll get a lot of use out of it.

Is the pc just for gaming? If so, the Switch is maybe a better bet. Cheaper, portable and stuff just works.

... But it doesn't email or surf or do office stuff.

Can't say i miss my gaming pc at all, but it depends as well on the type of games you like playing. The Switch hasn't got a lot and there are no adventures or strategy etc

The switch really isn't all that portable though is it. Good luck fitting that in your pockets. Maybe if you're mc hammer you'd be ok.

Compared to a pc its portable. I just put it in my bag. Granted it's not phone sized, but it's something you can carry in your hand and it's battery powered.

Anyway, each to their own. It's not better than a pc, but it depends what you're wanting it for.

Many things are portable compared to a PC.

Anyway, I'm not shitting on the switch. I'll probably end up with one at some point as I think Nintendo make great games. I just have an issue with it trying to be a game boy when it's about the size of a bloody modern laptop.

A bit like asking if you'd like your favourite meal and a blow job or if you'd like an all inclusive holiday for all the young female members of your family with Rolf Harris and Max Clifford as chaperones.

That's a bit like asking whether you should buy a bicycle now or save up for a Rolls Royce. Different usercases, but one is clearly the better machine if portability is not a consideration. Of course the difference in price between a Switch and PC is not as significant.

I have hundreds of games on steam thanks to how cheap they are. I also don't bother playing any of them either, thanks to how cheap they are.

Switch wounds like the better option now but I'm not convinced how good an option it'll be a year or two down the line.

Honestly if the question is should I buy Nintendo or something else the answer is always buy something else.

They are always the secondary buy and have been since the snes. Buy a pc now and the switch down the line when there are more games.

If only someone had invented some sort of 'bag' that things can go in.

I don't get why the choice is between that and a desktop. Get a cheap laptop and play 5 year old games on high settings.
