@y2rich They have been made with tiny screens in mind, unlike Stardew Valley. It would certainly require some massive interface changes.
It does mention the trophies as being for ps4/vita on playstation trophies.org I saw this yesterday and hoped it is cross buy. It could be a mistake of course.

Snapped it up, woop woop. Scrubbins' Farm is open for... some kind of business.

I get that it might not be a perfect fit for the Vita, but for me (and I can't be the only one) it's absolutely the difference between me buying this or not. I just wouldn't play this on the PS4.

This looks and sounds lovely. Not sure if I'd play it loads but it's so my wife's cup of tea, she doesn't even know it yet. I have a spare ps4 thinking I may set up an account for her and give to her as Xmas pressie. Best way to share it? Can I make my console hers and my primaries? Then just put her profile on the second ps4?

Vita really could be nuts for this, I'm not giving her that though ;)

So he just needs the monez, hopefully it will come from the console releases.

Why Vita when the Switch is next year? It could be even better on that.

Just checked SteamSpy, nearly 2 million PC copies now, and there's the console version now, too. One guy. :)

I don't begrudge him a single penny, mind.

No, it seems like it's very well made, even if it is totally derivative of harvest moon from what I've seen.

He's obviously put a lot of his life into the projects, can't begrudge him any of his success. There's something to be said for something being the vision of one auteur, even if it's heavily inspired by what's gone before.

Is he porting the game himself too?

I believe it took him four or five years to finish the game. That's dedication. And all people could do was moan that it doesn't have multiplayer.

It's a good game but I prefer Harvest Moon but that's mainly because I'm used to its mechanics and have a fondness for the series.

I'd buy a Vita version in a heartbeat - I'll never have time to play it on my PS4, but I could be tempted to get it on the Switch :)

No, the console ports were farmed out (ho ho! ;)) to Sickhead Games. I believe that they also handled the Mac and Linux ports.

I like that the days last longer than two minutes, which is what they seemed to last in whatever previous harvest moon/animal games I last played, and you can get a decent amount done before nightfall.

For those experiencing some of the bugs that crept into the PS4 and Xbone releases, patches look like being made available in the next few days:

I got this for ps4 and am having a weird thing with it. For some reason my brain is interpreting the screen as 3D, which is really odd. this is especially around any areas with water, for reason it looks like it has real depth. Er.. has anyone else experienced that?

This has properly got its hooks into me. Not ideal when trying to cut down a disgustingly huge backlog!

Ok so I've finally snapped and bought it. It's just great isn't it. It really does seem to grab you (certainly to begin with). I happily played 2-3 hours yesterday, it does seem rather moreish.

I actually bought it as I know it's my wife's cup of tea, if I actually let her near it I'll never see my ps4 again.

I got this in the latest - and phenomenal - Humble Bundle and I can only say: fuck me, this is pure digital crack @_@

I've put off playing it until I get a Switch/is released on Switch) Seems much more suited to being on handheld as per Harvest Moon (or Story if Seasons as the 'proper' franchise is now called).

Me too. Between Stardew Valley and Subnautica, that Humble Bundle is going to be the end of my marriage.

I have been playing this for awhile, although not this week as I have been busy with other stuff, and it's without doubt digital crack. I have never had a game that I really found so absolutely difficult to turn off. It's fucking brilliant. Just buy it but kiss goodbye to doing much of anything else for awhile :)

Playing on XBOX and in love!!! Best £11.99 I've ever spent!

Though I keep running out of Energy too quickly. I've done the Egg Festival and got strawberries and...the list could go on.

    Perfect.

@Matt36 Keep sufficient consumables in your inventory, they all restore a portion of your energy. This includes stuff you produced yourself (whether harvest, fish or anything else that's edible)

Also, you'll get access to the bath house in the north of the village at some point where you can fully restore all your energy at any time.

Trust me, the game quickly shifts from 'damn, I'm out of energy again' to 'Gaah, is the day over already? I still have so much to do!' :)
