It's certainly no Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

You are categorically stating it's a "shit" film.

Also not everyone feels the need to attach a statement of superiority to every opinion they have. That's really just a you thing.

Oh wait, there's a thread right here where I can argue with people about how shit blade runner was.
I'm utterly baffled how I've taken this comment out of context but whatever.

I've honestly got no idea what you're on about, but no, it's fine, lets not.

Batista seems to have the best agent in Hollywood.

If he was that hot he'd be CGI'd into TPM.

Will be released 6th October 2017

    Filming hasn't started yet, though.

I think your wrong. Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart are going to show that the chemistry they had in Get hard wasn't just a fluke when they play the leads in this one.

Blade Runner is literally one of the most interesting pieces of art that Hollywood has ever produced, the idea that it is purely visual is wildly inaccurate.

Yeah, Blade Runner is amazing. It's also really boring.

That's true, it sounded quite nice too.

I dunno, it's certainly a slow paced film with filler in places (like the toymaker stuff which ultimately just isn't needed IMO) but I wouldn't call it boring.

Whether you like it or not it is quite a hard watch though so I do understand why people might think it boring or dull. Myself it took several viewing to decide if it was boring or brilliant. I came down on the latter though.

To be fair I was the same. I first watched it when I was younger and just thought it was a bit boring. Didn't understand the praise. Watched it again maybe 5 years ago and began to appreciate it a bit better. Had this conversation in another thread recently but I think it's a beautiful film to watch, just not as deep as some people like to think it is.

    Just killing and fucking robots.

I would say that if you think Bladerunner is just about killing and fucking robots then you may have missed the point somewhat...

Nah it's definitely just about killing and fucking robots. And Unicorns.

The sequel rumours say is about merging those 3 even closer. Fingers crossed for fucking robot unicorns.

    No not really.

Joking aside I still feel like I did above. It's an absolutely beautiful film and I enjoy watching it. And I get what it's about. It just is NOT as deep as the fans like to think it is. The weird pretentiosness Blade Runner fans have about the film is just odd. It has a very simple premise to it, albeit with some underlying themes in there but again. There not that hard to grasp. You can enjoy a film and just accept it not be a piece of high art.

@richarddavies Or maybe it's a piece of art independently of how deep or not the story is. There's no unwritten rule that films need a particularly deep story.

I could take Blade Runner or leave it were it not for Rutger Hauer.
