That cube advert just popped up for me. It's a disgrace. On mobile view I have no access to the top menu when it pops up.

Same here. That cube ad is horrific when viewing on mobile, basically breaks the site.

They still haven't solved the spinning cube ad?!?! Bets on it won't get removed till after Xmas now :(
  • Deleted user 22 December 2013 11:36:49
The cube one is awful. There is no way to close it and it blocks the menu on blackberry which makes the site impossible to use.

I don't do online gambling and tgi is over priced shite.

Just got the cube casino one as well, makes it impossible to access the menu bar (and thus forum) as well as the top 8 or so links on the main page.

Surely the way it seemed to pop-up without interaction, and can't be closed mean it doesn't adhere to IAB guidelines and should have been rejected?

    Hey All,

We have issued a block against these ads so they will be removed shortly.

Clearly these kind of disruptive ads aren't what we have in mind when filling our placements.

Thank you for brining it to our attention.. I will be doing everything I can over the Christmas period to ensure all ads remain user initiated.

'Surely the way it seemed to pop-up without interaction, and can't be closed mean it doesn't adhere to IAB guidelines and should have been rejected?'

Completely agree.. this is where we stand when it comes to advertising so always let us know and we will do everything we can to get these ads removed.

Don't hesitate to let me know directly of any issues such as these.

    Cheers
    Ben

Ah this explains why I have been able to browse the site this morning without having to wait for the page to load properly before I click on any topics because you've (temporarily) switched the ads off. (On iPad by the way)

Please please please make the ads actually fit the forum so it doesn't mean constantly accidentally clicking on entirely the wrong thing and having to load it up and try again.

The amount of times I've thought I've pressed the button to go to the last page of a topic only to either go to the wrong one entirely or the profile of the person who wrote it instead is hard to remember!

Well having no ads was too good to last :(

This Rezzed one (like all other ads on here) pops in a few seconds after the forum loads and pushes the page down which causes the wrong thing to be pressed unless you wait a few more seconds for the page to load fully.

It surely must be possible to resize the forum to fit the the ads that are displayed or visa versa?

This is a bit of an odd one. Anyone had it before?

    Click (screen cap)

Is this browser malware I have or something?

    Edit* Nevermind, found the problem.

Still this. I don't wish to appear an exaggerating twat, but this advert is genuinely spoiling my enjoyment of the forum :(

I can't speak to whether it works with phones from this century as my mobile is from the dark ages but I got adblock working with my Nexus 7. Um, aren't modern phones a bit like a tablet thingy?

    @B0rked_Gamer I've never touched a tablet device; I wouldn't know.

You can't Ad block on a non jail broken i device either, in other words just about all of them.

That Rezzed thing is just a new stage of a shit stained trend here- the ads just seem to be getting bigger and more obnoxious as time goes on.
