Curly Colin was Quavers. and was used in a game called Pushover. iirc.
That's the one. Quite a decent puzzle game for the time as well.

The 7-up game was called "Cool Spot" (which was the name of the mascot) for the Amiga, SNES and Megadrive. There was also a Fido Dido game too.

There was a series of 16 bit games based on Chester Cheetah, and don't forget the McDonald's game "Mic and Mac: Global Gladiators.

Also Robocod heavily featured Penguin chocolate bars and Zool was sponsored by Chupa Chups.

IIRC over in the UK (and maybe Europe) all 7-Up references were removed from the game as Fido Dido was their mascot over here at the time.

Fido Dido would be a good nickname for the bland pop singer if she was a hound. Unfortunately she's not ugly so I will just stick with Shit Music Making Dido.

That Ocean logo makes me feel all nostalgically happy and crywanky at the same time.

Burger King made 3 games for the 360.

I dunno why they relaunched Mountain Dew in the UK. Without the ludicrous amounts of High Fructose Corn Syrup it just doesn't taste the same.

Also, there were two Curly Colin Quavers games for the Amiga: Pushover (which was mainly about an ant) and one that actually starred Colin all the way through, which I think was called One Step Beyond.

Colin was voiced by Lenny Henry.

Also (last one), Zool being sponsored by Chupa Chups blew my fragile juvenile mind. I couldn't get over the fact that games - games! - were important enough to get sponsored by a real life company.

I seem to remember The One coming with a free Chupa Chups lolly that month, too.

Christ, Zool was brilliant, and Zool 2 even brillianter. Who owns the rights? I want an XBLA Zool, like, yesterday.

Zool will be owned by Atari, as Gremlin Graphics were bought by Infogrames IIRC.

edit: Oh yeah, Superfrog. I forgot loved that game, but forgot about it the other day. There's a remake on the way you know?
