    The Martian has just been added. Not seen it myself, but I hear it is good.

    I can't watch it at the moment but there be good shows dropping every now & then Mindhunter looks cool, Stranger Things is cool, The Defenders is cool, Star Trek is cool, The Expanse is way cool. The Punisher & She's Gotta Have it coming in November. Likely more in December.

    Look around & knock yourself out. Between movies catch up & Netflix originals, the Netflix cup runneth over, so you can't go wrong, even on a 30 day trial.

    Has anybody bothered with 1922 yet?

    Yeah, I forgot about Gerald's Game & 1922, two of King's works, which both look good. Bright looks good too.

    @negan

    As for ST crew? I don't know, whoever reminds of the dumb 80's kid crowd, I used to hang around with, at that age of life. I was the black kid in my group of mostly white friends so, I don't know, maybe that dude. Each of them remind me of friends I once knew, across the years, but I no longer see or mix with anymore.

    Watch whatever you feel like, anyway. Netflix has enough choice with more to come.

    @askew

    yup - it's a good and fairly faithful adaptation of the story...it's very much a character-based slow-burner, though...

    gerald's game was also good, though it's never been one of my favourite king stories...

    Half way through Stranger Things 2 im pleased that making everything bigger hasn't ruined the smaller things that made the first series so charming.

    Biggest questions so far is why no one seems all that affected by the events of the first season and why the new cool guy has such a terrible mullet wig

    I'm only 3 episodes in, but I'm very much enjoying it. Its been a while since I watched something and didn't think "this could have been done better".

    If I'm being fashionable I would say Under the Shadow, The Babadook or It Follows.

    Also since I can't be bothered to check if I've said it already but Sofie Hagen's Live at the BBC set is absolutely fantastic.

    The ones with Nish Kumar and James Acaster are great too but Hagen's has the funniest moment I've seen for ages in it.

    @Youthist

    what type of horror? the recs above are good but then you;ve also got the more psychological stuff like the conspiracy, creep, coherence,the invitation etc....and is triangle on there? soft spot for that film for some reason, i think because it reminds me of the brilliant timecrimes....

    Oh yeah, there's some good home invasion type ones too, Housebound and You're Next, both of which have a sliver of black comedy in them.

    @simpleexplodingmaybe I thought Nish was good and the American afterwards, the three after weren't nearly as good and I didn't even finish them.

    My Netflix is down at the moment after six years from their debut in the U.K, but I won't lose heart & will always believe in their changing the tv/movie game when no one else wanted to do so, & they'll have my support for that & a good service. Will always encourage others to use it & its always worth the price. I'll never regret subscribing to Netflix & believing in it (& its sibling, Amazon Prime too).

    I wanted to watch Strange Things S2, The Expanse S2, Ironfist, Star Trek, The Defenders & Mind Hunter, but I guess I'll have to wait a longer & when its up & working again. Guess I'll be playing games, doing art & writing more, instead.

    Have fun with your Netflix sub if its working properly. Be kind & rewind than cruel. Stay positive & better & cool. Don't worry, be happy.

    Sounds like his parents have stopped paying for his Netflix and it's pushed him over the edge.

    Can his parents remove his ampersand key as well? That way he might one day learn not to type like a fucking idiot. Or stop typing entirely. Either way we all win.
