    Well, would you? Have you?

Seems inevitable sometime in the future what with the rising price of traditional meat and the environment.

So, would you eat a maggot burger or a locust pizza or something?

If it tastes good then yeah.

I think it's a very logical and well thought out suggestion. Will take a long period to change perceptions here but it can be done.

btw, wouldn't it be more reasonable to eat humans? That would help fighting overpopulation at the same time, and they don't taste that bad.

    edit: I heard, ahem.

Well everyone has, although probably not by deliberate action.

    Plenty of arachnids too.

I think it's important that we do start to eat insects

If maggots are processed into burgers and they taste OK, I don't mind. Shovelling spoonfuls of maggots into my mouth ... less keen.

I ate some insects in Thailand, they were fried and crunchy, tasted spicy and sold in markets as a snack.
If they were goey I'm not sure I would have reacted the same tbh.

The last episode of The Why Factor on disgust covered the western disgust at eating insect (as well as people disgusted at teh gayz).

I've eaten flying ants several times. Raw (to freak the folks out when I was a kid) and fried in butter, which was actually quite tasty.

Locust is not bad either, I've tried that fried and cooked over a campfire in scout training.

To be honest though I will eat just about anything as long as it is safe. I'm on a quest to eat one of every living thing on the planet.

The Chinese don't seem to have a problem with eating bugs (or anything at all), and they're our superiors, so it can't be that bad I guess

Snails aren't insects, in fact they're legally considered to be Chinamen.

Eaten quite a few insects in China. Generally speaking they are all quite nice. Particularly like fried scorpion.
