Sorry if this has been done before but it's a topic I find quite interesting. I have a few female friends and with most of them the relationship has just been a friendship. There have been occasions however (when I was single) when the line was crossed. I have been in a relationship for years now and would never cheat on the missus. If I was single tho I'm not too sure if I would cross the line again.
What do u guys think? Can u have a friendship with a female?

    Yes.

    Nothing else really to say.

Sure. I love the incredulity that you could be friends with someone and not fancy them.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

The deeper question is whether heterosexual mala and female people who have mutual attraction can have a strictly plutonic relationship.

And the answer is still yes.

Only if the girl is ugly.

Though you pretty much want to do them anyway.

(somewhat nicked from When Harry Met Sally).

If one of them is gay.

Or the women assume he's gay.

Yes. But they can be awkward if there are any feelings in the way

Bullshit expression anyway. Plato was only friends with girls because he was as gay as the day is long.

If you have to ask the question then you shouldn't be trying to have a platonic friendship with a woman.

What if you really fancied him?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

You should watch the documentary "When Harry Met Sally", it's all about this very question. The filmaker follow them for a whole decade over which time they explore the very concept of platonic friendship despite being attractive people, and remain friends the whole time, right up to the very end where they fall in love and get married in a matter of seconds.

10/10 guys, like most of the EG readers, have had to turn down many girls who they feel are 'just friends'. It's sad being so beautiful.

Not if you go around referring to women as "females". Creepy.

Yes it's possible to be friends and nothing else. But there's no rule to say you cant mentally run through all of your female friends when you're tugging off.

    Nah too shallow.

If you are female and my friend its because at some point I wanted to fuck.

Yes, of course. Please tell me we are not still living in the 70s?

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
