You know, those trivial little things you find yourself doing across titles.

I have to sit through credits in all story-based games, just on the off chance there's a little reward at the end. Occasionally I'll just YouTube the credits if I can and skip right to the end.

    I eat junk food.

why is it when you get to a tense or crucial part of a game 1 of 2 things will always happen

1.) You develop an excruciating itch that needs immediate attention

2.) The Mrs will suddenly decide to tell you a meaningless random story about her fucking mate

I always go straight to options when I first fire up a new game.

I always turn around at the start of any new level or section and see what's behind you. The amount of games that hide stuff directly behind where to start is surprising.

I always have to pause the game to have a chuckle at the Newcastle score on the radio

Jump repeatedly when I'm walking/running through the game world.

If there's a character who moves their head to follow my character, I will run around them in circles.

Also, if there are NPC that can't or aren't supposed tot die, I will shoot them.

If there's a mirror, I will strafe in front of it.

If there is any flying involved, I will see how high I can get before I hit the ceiling of the game world.

If last checkpoint before a difficult section where you die a lot is also forces me to repeatedly sit through some unskippable dialogue or cut-scene, no matter how short, I hunt down the developers and kill them one by one.

Sure this will be the most popular one - reloading weapons. Even if I've only fired one shot, I'm constantly reloading in shooty games.

Someone you've already killed must always be shot in the cock to see how they react.

    Hmmm.

I DO shoot dead girls up the arse with my bow in Skyrim.

If im able to move dead/disabled characters I always find myself putting them in 'hilarious' poses. That almost always involve buming.

    And EVERYTHING chosen said.

I always go to the options screen to change the camera controls before anything else. (If I cannot invert the Y axis and leave X uneffected it will be abandoned).

Then in an First Person game I look down and I am always disappointed to see me character has no legs.

Then I try and figure out how to save. If it is not obvious I will quit the game to see if it autosaves after a checkpoint. (If a game has not let me save it in the first hour it will most likely be abandoned).

I will always press start on the first cutscene to see if they can be paused.

I also tend to play open world games over Christmas. Oblivion, GTA4, Red Dead and Fallout 3 been recent Christmas games. (It was TitS this year though which is not open world).

The Chopsen List has pretty much all of mine to the letter. Also, if stuff is supposed to be destructible, I'll destroy it all just to see how far it'll let you take it.

I walk around the perimeter of a linear "game area" before heading towards the exit.

Then get annoyed when a cut-scene kicks in and I can't complete my route.

In skyrim I like to stack the corpses of my victims in fires and in the fallout games I like to hack limbs and heads off and arrange them neatly on those bin fires. I also like to arrange the body parts on top of cars and then blow the cars up and see where the parts land.

I also start these games as a good character and descend into evil bastard territory cos its always more fun.

Same as chopsen, if an NPC is on the screen and the game let me stay armed, I will try to shoot or melee them.

I cant remember which game it was, but one that I played recently saw me punch my partner in the back of the head throughout the entire game, especially when they start spouting bad dialogue.

This is possibly a weird one, but I always wash my hands before playing a new game for the first time. Of course I wash my hands at other appropriate times too, but also then. Also, I do read the manual before playing, though that's getting harder to do nowadays.

In an RPG my male characters usually have beards and will look spanish. My female ones just look silly.

I usually have a cup of tea.

If possible I have subtitles on in the game world but not for conversations.

Never, ever bother with 100% completion.

I do this all the time and I actually find this a bit of a bugbear in games as it's stupid that a clip based weapon is reloaded in such a way. I recall a Half Life mod had actual clips and I quite enjoyed the tension of nearing the end of a clip and needing to decide on whether to reload now or conserve ammo by reloading when it runs out, I think it's a very good idea and more games should implement it.

You are a factory of sadness.

Rainbow Six had that. Worked quite well too, given it fitted well with the style of the game. I still threw away clips with lots of bullets though.
