Although I guess it means that the definitive version of Arkham Origins will be on the Wihaha no I can't do it.

@darkmorgado Agree that AC was a bit of a kitchen-sinking by Rocksteady w/ more characters than characterization. I would like Origins to ditch the open world and return to the focus and linearity of AA.

Sure they are going to have some fast travel feature involving the bat mobile. Some freeways, jumps or whatever with some punks to crash on your travels but no street level driving like GTA.

Developed by Ubisoft???? Expect a half broken game on release. Plus every Ubisoft game is virtually the same crap rehashed with a different environment

Everyone knows Jack Thompson - but how did he become the game-blaming activist he is today? Read Part One of my new mini-series!

After hearing all this shafting of iconic voice actors, I really hope they bring Kevin Conroy back.

He's bitter he got promoted from sidekick to third-tier copy of Daredevil.

Could be worse though, he could be Toddavich.

It's because people associate with him so well. I know I certainly feel attuned to a genius-level billionaire at the peak of physical conditioning.

It felt like it. Thats how fun continually having to find the entrance to hideouts is.
I don't recommend doors from that company. They are hard to find, will open for any electrical charge, and force everyone to slide under on their arse.

@Deckard1 I agree. The problem was that it wasn't all that big a world, and you had all of it given to you straight away. Okay, there were some more gadgets to unlock and some buildings to go into but on the whole there wasn't that gradual sense of wonder for me that there was with the first game.

Ign reporting there will be fast travel via the batwing once you disable radio towers that block your ability to call it in. And the story is 8 assassins have come to kill you.

More details on the front page.

The world is twice as large as City, main villain is Black Mask, fast travel (after removing signal jammers), and a two-pronged grapple used to cause objects to smash into enemies, etc.

So, yeah... Basically taking City but running with it.

    Expectations suitably dampened.

So, Arkham City with ideas from Far Cry 3 and Just Because 2 bunged in to tick the 'new feature' boxes?

Rumour for now but no doubt true seeing as it's shoehorned in everything nowadays to sell map packs and crap. The bat may be going multiplayer...

Going by Splinter Cell Conviction's excellent co-op campaign, a 2 player Batman experience could be great. Not sure about proper multiplayer like that describes, though hunting Batman in teams could be fun, even if it's impossible because he's fricking Batman ;)

Tbh I can imagine multiplayer maybe working quite well. Different characters sneaking around the environment, laying traps, suddenly dropping from the rafters to string you up etc. no idea how they would do it like that, but the possibility is there for a really good stealthy multiplayer. Of course it's more than likely it'll be batman running around an arena shooting electrical charges at ten different coloured jokers screaming "I'm batman, bitch!" and then curb stomping them to death.

Everyone knows Jack Thompson - but how did he become the game-blaming activist he is today? Read Part One of my new mini-series!

Fawkes has it actually, make one person batman, and the rest have to hunt him. Sounds ace!
