That was me. I got a message from Turkey and replied. I was awaiting Turkey's answer and next thing I know, time's run out and I didn't have any orders submitted. :-/

    Bloody Turks!

Still ... learning a lot this first game. :-0

Remember you can submit orders but not finalise. I often do that just in case I forget to check or someone doesn't get back to me

I think deception would be a better name.

The shouldn't have called this game diplomacy.
"Brutal Backstabbing" doesn't have the same ring to it.

But I don't know about any other players/games, but I've done an awful lot of diplomacy so far, and no-one has been anywhere near my supply centres yet so it must be at least sort of working...

I think you can do well in the game by being honest. I think I've only told 1 lie so far in my game, which was when I backstabber England...

Heh, I pretty much expected it too, just thought I'd have a bit longer to react and fall back.

I very nearly decided to strike a turn earlier, but wanted to see if you'd move further East...which you did :) If you had let me take Kiel and Holland I may well have stayed allies, but if you'd taken them I had to switch allegiances to Germany!

No a proposed truce, asking for my terms.
I gave them, awaited a reply and in the meantime he went and invaded another of my territories. The Turkish betrayer. May his dogs fart loudly and upwind from him in their sleep.

Apologies for the latest hold-up. Despite still reeling from Turkey's dastardly tricks, I gave my retreat orders but then forgot to finalise. I thought someone else was holding things up.

Who is taking the max time in game 2? Russia? How can he still be in the game without any armies?

Game 1 is going to the deadline.

Wow, it's getting real cosy in and around Kiel in Game 1! I've no idea what's going on in your game, it looks like chaos!

You're making some very clever moves, AP. Not making this conquest easy for me! Also managing to hold off any advance into scandanavia

Remember to finalise your orders after building. Also remember that you will need to build even if you lost territories (probably including Russia too), as you need to select which unit to remove

Apologies in advance, my next move will probably be delayed until close to the deadline tomorrow. Off to play pub golf later today and fear the worst. Any incomprehensible, drunk sounding messages you receive in the meantime should probably be ignored.

Any of the 'runner ups' want to start a new game? Not sure if we will have enough yet but worth putting your name down...

I will put my name down for a new game, I'm sure we'll have enough interest.

I think it's all over in Game 2. After some hard fought battles, we all shook virtual hands and agreed to a draw. Which, if you look at our game was certainly a wise move for me as France ;)
