I always thought Planescape Torment was the best CRPG so it's good that a full sequel is finally going to get made. It's amazing how much better the game looks with the widescreen mod and Ghostdog's UI mod as well.

They've nearly reached their maximum goal of $3M.

I love Torment and clearly this is great news, however I don't really see its "full sequel" credentials given that it's not set in the Planescape universe (D&D rules I can happily live without on the other hand).

Not really a sequel, but about as close as we're ever going to get. So, I welcome this news, and will buy the shit out of this game.

It would be great if they could somehow wrangle the PS:T characters into it without infringing on the Planescape license.

They managed to gather a great team for this. I hope they will live to their reputation.

PS:T was astonishing visually so I wander what Numenera will look like :)

With only 9 hours left, they managed to get 3.8 million plus another 89.000 from paypal pledges. This is not taking into account the 200.000 that was pledged by Brian Fargo himself and fan/investor Steve Denglers.

I'm fairly certain inXile's Torment will reach the 4 million mark!

I have so many kickstarter games on backlog now it's getting a bit scary. I'm going to have to take a year off work when they all start coming out

Sod it, I've just pledged $35. It's going to hit $4m in a few minutes, I should think.

Already over 4M,hopefully they´ll get to 4.5M but it´s gonna be really hard,4.25M is perfectly doable though.

Really happy that these old school RPG´s are getting so much love.

I was going to say I don't think it'll make 4.25m, but it's amassed about $12,000 in the twenty minutes since my last post, so who knows.

EDIT- with Paypal contributions it's managed the 4.25m stretch goal.

Delighted with this. REally got excited when Pat Rothfuss got on board.

Bought in for this and Wasteland 2, now I just play the waiting game.

I pledged on the day it launched, but when Pat revealed his Companion was going to be a bit "different" and that his comic would be detailing their background, I ended up adding the comics bundle; however, this ended up taking me over the $50 point, so I decided as I was already putting so much in I'd bump my pledge up to the $50 level and stuck the $14 bundle on top of that...

Man, when I checked out the kickstarter last, it was about $2.8 million. Amazing to see it go so far. Not that I didn't have hope before, but it makes my hope in humanity that much brighter. It is the very definition of putting your wallet where your mouth is.

The day I'm finally able to play this game, I'll probably take a holiday. In fact, they should make it a worldwide holiday. Play the New Torment Day.

Probably not. Though maybe they could have a character in there who just isn't specifically named. So he could be the nameless one through implication.

Maybe "that homeless zombie guy standing over there with all the tattoos, talking to a floating skull". Maybe shorten it to an acronym.
