    Needs the thing on a spring cheat for the c64. You held down the letters that spell 'thing' but also the top left and top right keys of the keyboard. Bastard when you were young with small hands

    Crap list.

    No mention of C64 games like CJ's Elephant Antics with the cheatcode "ITCHY ARSEHOLES" or Monty On The Run with "IWANTTOCHEAT" and the response from the game "YESSUM BOSS!!!".

    No mention of the Amiga Alien Breed "BEWARE ALIENS SPADGE HAS DROPPED ONE", "THE IRAQIS MADE THE WEAPONS" or "BLIMEY GUVNOR LOOK AT THE SIZE OF HIS JOHN THOMAS".

    No mention of the Amiga version of Sleepwalker's referencing Ministry's Jesus Built My Hotrod with the cheat code "dingadingdangmydangalonglinglong".

    Too Sega and Nintendo centric for my liking.
    I remember the sleepwalker one! Then hearing ministry years later the penny drops and I'm like "ah THAT'S where it's from"

    ABACABB?

    The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

    The Turok 2 cheat for everything was bewareovlivionisathand which, for some reason, I thought was pretty cool at the age of 12...

    @warlockuk

    Wasn't it Hexen?

    I also remember being incredibly pleased that I found a cheat myself. For no reason whatsoever, I tried to be the England manager from the start in one of the old Cm games (you couldn't pick international teams) and entering the name Terry Venables (the current manager) allowed them to be used from the start. I think I just sat in shock for about 10 minutes.

    I remember phoning Lucasarts for help with Monkey Island, only to accidentally get through to their internal IT support. That guy was so confused.

    There was a "cheat" printed years ago in a Playstation magazine for Tomb Raider where if you made Lara jump to the rhythm of "Wannabe" by The Spice Girls after a short while disco lights would appear in the game and she'd start stripping. Me and an old school chum tried for ages to do it correctly because the magazine declared that it had to be executed perfectly to work. No matter how much we tried we just couldn't seem to do it. Turns out it was an April's Fool gag We felt like a right pair of 'nanas.

    I'm pretty sure it was CVG. When Tomb Raider 2 came out, they did another version, where they basically apologised for the first one, but they said you really can get Lara naked by tapping to "Under the Bridge" by All Saints whilst on the bed in the mansion. It too was an April Fool's gag.

    Not really a cheat, but if you typed in a sweary word in Valhalla on the spectrum, you'd get 'Mary is not amused' and she'd walk over and hit you on the head with a hammer :lol:

    The 'cracked' Amiga games were the best, with a selection of cheats pre-load plus some random animation of a devil doing an angel or something equally poor.
