    Does anyone know which mouse and keyboard was being used on the AC4 NVidia stand?

    I know they were Razer!

    Yeah they were Razer ones, along with those annoying right-handed mice things that looked like something out of Transformers.

    I think they were being sold at the Game stand. They definitely had a Razer keyboard on sale there (for an eye watering 90, iirc).

    @darkmorgado I'm not sure which one of the many mice is the right one :(

    As for the transformer one, I always thought they were awful looking, but having used one on the Prison Architect stand, I was pleasantly surprised by them!

    Well I'm a leftie, so they were practically unusable for me. Was a bit annoying, not everyone is right-handed after all so it felt quite short-sighted on the organiser's part. Many other PC games at the front of the show just used standard ambidextrous mice so all I had to do was move them over to the left of the keyboard. Those Razer ones though were completely unusable for me.

    I was glad that they used the site of the 2010 Expo for the over 18 area, but feel that next year should they do the same, maybe make more use of the space available. Possibly there could be a second lot of pinball machines upstairs or something.
    I think they had some difficulties with the pinball stuff. More machines would indeed be great. Perhaps they could do a whole old-school arcade thing (except with everything on free play), perhaps merging the pinball and the retro area into one big thing. That would be pretty cool.
    Some machines broke down because of how much they were being used. No one could have predicted that they would be in almost constant use :) Merging the pinball with the retro section would be a good idea, as that way more people would know the pinball machines were actually there. They were hidden away a bit.

    Everytime we queued up for Ghost's the pinball area was like a ghost town.

    Was there another area with pinball machines?

    Nope, that was it. As Bearded said, it was pretty hidden right at the back of the expo. I would have placed it with the Retro area myself, but I guess they were put there as that's the only place they could find to plug them all in. Looked a bit impromptu to my mind. IIRC that area wasn't even carpeted.

    @Calciumee

    I think this was the mouse they were using, only with a red metallic finish.

    I think this was the keyboard.

    Something like this would have been a better mouse to use as it's an ambidextrous Razer one. Going by the law of averages and assuming the rough 50,000 people number was accurate, their use of right-handed mice meant around 5,000 people may have had problems trying out some of the PC games on show.

    I only used those Transformer mice when I played Droid Assault and Ultratron, and treated the mice with suspicion.

    I have a feeling they were supplied as part of some sort of deal, particularly given that Game seemed to be conveniently selling them (I guess there was a similar deal with the fact that all the headsets used at the expo were Turtle Beach ones, which were also on sale elsewhere, which are admittedly excellent). I queried it with the guys on the Volume stand, and they said they had no say in what equipment was used as the PCs were all set up when they got there.

    Anyone see those gaming glasses that were being sold for 60 a pop? I was a bit sceptical about them but as I suffer from eye strain I tried them on and definitely noticed a difference. Didn't buy them though, not at the price they were asking for them!

    By the Sunday they'd added some tables and chairs off to the left which I don't think were there on the Thursday at least. Made them feel a little less isolated.

    That said, given they were pretty much played until they broke, I don't think making them any more popular would be a great idea.

    @mal

    When I was having lunch on Saturday in a little pub next to the Prince of Wales, I was sat next to a guy from the expo whose walkie-talkie kept going off. I casually asked him what he was doing for the expo and he mentioned he was their electrician and that things kept going wrong with the power. Funnily enough, while we were talking he got contacted saying that some of the pinball machines had lost power.

    Who caught the traditional annual Expo Lurgee then?

    Seems to have been rather prevalent this year from what people have told me.

    Well I certainly caught something, and spent a fair while getting over it. I did however feel perfectly ok while at the Expo, but on the way home on the Sunday O.O

    Sounds like Rauper wanted to help but this guy, but he (the author) was out for blood. Acting like an overly entitled prick (no matter the subject) will introduce you to a brick wall and rightly so.

    The classic "fix this or I'll shame you by making this public" threat when you're in the middle of a dispute is childish. If you're going to "blow the whistle" you do it after all avenues have been explored and exhausted.

    There's definitely a step that's been deliberately missed out and fudged over between Rauper offering to go round with the guy next year and that offer being "rescinded".

    did anyone read his e-mails??

    i skimmed through them and from what i can tell he was itching for a fight. His tone throughout was aggressive and confrontational and i am surprised EG kept it together for as long as they did.
