@Pinky_Floyd Sucks you didn't get your copy Pinky my copy arrived yesterday but I wasn't in so had to pick it up from the local sorting office.

Anyway I forgot how slow this game is at the start, not that its a bad thing but I find the first...I guess you would call it mini-dungeon a bit of a slog. Its probably the biggest issue I have with the game. Anyway now the negative is over....

OMFG its so god damn beautiful. The pics and videos online don't do the game enough justice. Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game and the HD update is just stunning. The sea may be stunning in GTAV and asscred but its beautiful in WWHD and the game is just stunning to look at. The music is fantastic as well and I love the theme when you are sailing.

Also taking selfies in Zelda is the tits :D

I got as far as I did first time around today. I didn't recognise a signle thing, up until the first boss. Then I remember getting impatient at him not dying and never played it again. So everything else is totally new to me. :)

One thing I really like is that spirit of exploration. In the first Zelda, you could go almost anywhere immediately, to the point it could be a bit daunting. I really love the way sailing the high seas brings back that feeling of freedom, even if it is probably an illusion. I never felt this free in Ocarina, which is why I've never clicked with it as much as others have.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

@DFawkes I think the mix of vast seas with very little in them to the islands is a great mix. It gives you a huge map so that the world feels huge and when you explore an island its more manageable than a huge land map.

I sent a message in a bottle earlier with some of the lyrics to Lonely Island I'm on a boat by Lonely Island :D with a pic of me on my boat

Idea is good, execution isn't sadly.

    Love the sailing theme music

You're relying on people sending interesting stuff. The messages I've had so far have been asking for help or saying I'm having fun playing Zelda. would be great if people were a bit more creative with what they send

49.99 but turned out I had 10 of premium club discounts, so 40 for me. The upside of digital is that I'm more likely to play games that are available from the gamepad with one button press.

Just had a quick go and it looks lovely.

I agree with your reason zoo, but personally I would never buy anything from the Nintendo store until they have an account system. Being locked to a console rather than an account is mindbogglingly retarded.

I'm buying discs because I might have to sell when this whole thing goes balls up.
    That and the beveled edges.

I agree but it is what it is. Maybe they'll do an overhaul in future. As for owning physical games that doesn't really bother me as I've had very large collections in the past that have sat unplayed. Im way better off getting on with digital stuff via off tv gamepad play.

Yeah obviously that's the main reason to buy disks, resale value. And Nintendo games tend to retain their value more than any other.

What do you mean by "When this whole thing goes balls up"?

I can see that. I must admit, I play the stuff I've accumulated through PS Plus a lot more than the discs I've chosen to buy, as it's so quick and convenient to just turn the machine on, browse through a list, see what you feel like playing and load it with one click.

After my lovely aqua blue 3DS was misplaced and the Wii only being allowed to play downloadable games on the very same system (as I passed the first one on and re-bought a new one just to play Super Mario Galaxy 2 a few years later), I vowed not to buy another Nintendo console until an unified system in in place.

... it is utterly absurd they haven't thought to do this since day one!

    : (
  • Deleted user 6 October 2013 19:07:39
That's exactly the kind of scenario I was thinking of. Sell something or give it away, it breaks, whatever - and you don't even have access to the games you rightfully own. Absurd.
