My shoes seem to last me less than 3 months before starting to wear and break down.

I don't buy ultra cheap i.e. 70 a pair is usually my limit.

Do I need to go higher and can anyone vouch for an online seller as can't be arsed getting in to town.

Price has no little relation to resilience.

Good ole Hush Puppies have done the job for me. They've lasted well over a year and I wear the buggers almost every day.

I'm wearing clarks right now. Second pair, usually last me a year with pretty much constant wear.

Clarks I have on at the moment have done me two years. They are at the end of their life now but for work shoes to last two years is pretty good going.

As a rule of thumb I always spend good money on anything that separates me from the ground.

    Shoes, Beds and Hoverboards.

My everyday brand for shoes are Timberland. Anything they make last for years. I've got a pair of Timberland trainers that are coming up on 5 years old and they scrub up box fresh.

If you need smart shoes go Church's but they are fucking expensive.

I'm surprised there's space in your closet for shoes LB.

As a banking type, I would have expected you to have a solid pair of Church's brogues on.

(Or are they so very 90's?? :( )

My last three pairs have been Base ones. All of them have last a few years, and only retired when they started to look a bit scruffy (they hadn't fallen apart). Around 50 - 65

If your 70 shoes are wearing out in 3 months you are either unlucky or walking with a mutants gait.

I always get good bargains in the outlet Timberland shop in Portsmouth for what its worth.

Based on the evidence that he can't be bothered to go outdoors on a Monday, slippers might do the trick.
