Buy an xbox pad, use Steam Big Picture and connect your TV to your PC.

Less hassle now than either the Xbox or PS3 for pick up and play.

Seriously I was a pure xbox user for about 4 years, now I wouldn't dream of it since I went back to PC. I wouldn't bother with either of them now really.

If you miss "pick up and play" then you definitely don't want to buy a PS3. :D

My PC is already hooked up to my Sony Bravia 1080p HDTV, How does steam big picture work?

    Thanks in advance.

You're going to list your PC specs in a second arn't you.

It's like a console style dashboard for your TV, but for Steam. Designed for using an [Xbox] Pad. Just google steam big picture mode you'll get a link to it, makes it easy to sit on your sofa and browse your library and play your PC stuff on your Sony Bravia 1080p HDTV.
