No one else actually buy the vita because they wanted console ports?
Both for me - My gaming time at home is very limited, whereas I can get a good 12 hours a week on the Vita. Loving NFS:MW at the moment. I'd never have bought it for the PS3 as I'd never get chance to play it.

I've also really enjoyed the exclusive Vita games, but am looking forward to playing Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, which I've bought on Vita despite the fact that I already have it (unplayed) on PS3.

The Vita's not for everone, but for me it's perfect.

    You can also add:

    MLB 13 The Show
    Madden 2014
    Fifa 2014

Plus some Jap titles which should see a Western release in 2013.

    Phantasy Star Online 2
    Muramasa: The Demon Blade
    God Eater 2
    Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus
    Dead of Alive 5 Plus

There are lots of Jap releases for the Vita but it's anyone's guess if they will make it to these shores at present.

    Final fantasy X HD ?????????

    Vita has no games! ;)

We're talking about European releases. MLB series rarely makes it anywhere else but America. And you know this.

How "rarely" is that? The EU PSN store for the Vita has MLB 2K9 for the PSP and MLB 12 for the Vita. What's your point, exactly?

Hopefully they'll actually be Madden 14 and FIFA 14 as opposed to Madden 13.5 and FIFA 13.5.

Hmm... strange when I searched using the search feature on PSN it couldn't find a single MLB game. And GameFaqs release schedule was saying their is no release date yet for MLB 13. I don't have a Vita but I do have a PSP, so I'll have to try the search feature again to find MLB 2k9

Unfortunately for me the above = 1 multiformat original title, 3 sports games, 1 port of a recent game (DOA5), 1 remaster (FFX) and 3 ports of old games.

Obviously for some people this is great but for me it's not very inspiring. I just want proper new stuff :(

And that's the whole topic. Games released in Europe on the Playstation Vita is poor at best and abysmal at worse.

@CosmicFuzz - 999 ain't out on the Vita, DS exclusive. Unless you mean it's follow up: Virtua's Last Reward

I really can't understand half these comments. Best console I've bought in years. Fantastic OS, amazing hardware and I've got more games than I can handle on a system less than one year old.

Owning iPads, phones, tvs, consoles etc every time I boot up the vita I'm reminded of just how bloody amazing that screen is. It's the one device i feel I got what I paid for, real quality.

It's younger than the 3ds and has way more games, why are there these threads about lack of current or upcoming? Bonkers....

Because they have a different opinion to you :p

I don't think anyone is criticising the actual console for what it's worth.

  • Deleted user 27 December 2012 19:47:30
Yeah the console itself is a stunner and the few games I have I've enjoyed.

I have quite a few games on the Vita I think are awesome. There is however little announced in the future I want for it.

There are also very little on the 3DS horizon I want either.

Yeah there is. There's plenty of comments in this thread criticising the console, saying there's currently no software for it, even some nutter saying its only catering for casuals!? It's bonkers. If the thread was only about the OPs statement there's some truth to it. But as I said : I can't understand half the comments in this thread.

Got a quote of someone saying there is "no software"? I've seen people get annoyed by this comment in the past (understandably so), but I've not actually read or heard it. It's a more a case of "not enough", as opposed to "nothing". Which is subjective and not wrong or right.

What I have read and heard is people criticising the future line-up, and people criticising the software in terms of how many ports and spin-offs there are.

DOA5 plus. I could quite happily never buy another game :)

I could buy it for PS3 or 360 but my kids are always on those.

I'm with the can't understand it brigade. Just how much do you want extra for it? Looking at what people have posted for 2013 there appears to be plenty on the horizon.

I'd rather have fewer but higher quality console class games as opposed to flooding with many repetitive games of the same theme over and over again. I've lost track of the amount of 69ps I've paid only for a game to hold my interest for a maximum of an hour or two never to be started up again.

Yeah I plan on getting really good at DOA 5 on xbox then pick it up on vita. Then it's juggling Tits on the bus!

I think your view on the Vita depends where you've come from and what you've already played.

Again, its probably a different story if you are massively henpecked and arent allowed on the big telly, but the only decent games recently are also available on big boy consoles.

Theres just nothing that makes a compelling case for it other than some tutti fruiti JRPGS.

I picked up a Vita about a month ago and I absolutely love it. LBP, Uncharted, Wipeout, Gravity Rush and Lumines are all awesome, as well as Music Unlimited. I also downloaded the LBP2 cross-play pack and really enjoyed it- the PS3/4 and Vita combo has the potential to better the Wii U.

While I would like to see a few more new games on the horizon, Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice, and cross play for Sly 4 all look amazing, and hopefully Phantasy Star Online 2 will see an European release.

Why do I get the feeling that DOA5 on the vita is going to use the movement sensor for.. well lets be honest tit jiggling.
