I just saw GameFAQs Vita games list in Europe:

02/22 - History: Legends of War
    02/22 - Persona 4 Golden

Now I know the list doesn't show games without concrete release date, but regardless it is not much of an assurance. It's an indication of the lack of vita software support in Europe. We haven't got a release date for Sly Cooper, Soul Sacrifice or Dead or Alive 5 Plus. We still haven't got a c*cking release date for killZone Liberation!!! Safe to say these games (among many others)are not coming out any time soon :(.

At least region lock is not present in most (if not all at present) Vita games :/

Good console, severely overpriced and launched in a global economic crisis, which goes on to obtain terrible marke penetration, fails to attracts devs and thus receives awful support outside of half-hearted spin offs of existing home console franchises.

    Who'd have thought?

@Progguitarist - That's not the point. The point was just to point out their we are not to interested in Europe, arrogant approach. The very fact that they charge the most over here time and time again, yet release the fewest is a clear example of that. Look at how they are bending over backwards to appease the American audience despite the fact that Europe is a big market that loves Playstation. Just look at the PS3, look how many that sells here in Europe compared to the 360, lets see America do the same. But yet Sony arrogantly show how many they sell in Europe (making us feel finally we may be respected) then pull bat s*it crazy s*it like this. I'm mad because the only people that really pay for this are the consumers :/

This has been the case fortwo decades with sony. Getting annoyed about it now is shutting the doors after the horsesnhave bolted.

@darkmorgado - I agree with you, but if there is one thing you learn in life is that you learn from your mistakes. Bringing up the point about this has happened for two decades, it's like shutting the door after the horses have bolted etc. is all good and well, but doesn't distract from the fact that we live in the here and now. You and I can make a better world if we choose, and it would effect right here and now, it doesn't matter what happened two decades ago. This should be Sony's way of thinking as you and I (basically the consumer) are the only people getting hurt by this.

At the end of the day things change, things evolve and just because it happened from two decades ago, just because it's like shutting the doors after the horses have bolted, doesn't mean it cannot and should not be bought up by those people effected. :/

I would type something coherent, but after two bottles of wine and an ipad keyboard i would be here forever.

I love the vita, as hardware.

As a software platform, its the worst thing I have ever owned.

I think sony's days in gaming are numbered.

haha I can understand you. Yestarday I drank enough water to fill Mario's FLUD pack from Super Mario Sunshine fora few weeks and I ate so much food I felt even more fatter than kirby in Smash bros after doing that vacuum move on Giant Donkey Kong /gets coat

Nah but your right, Vita can do with much, much more software. I want a reason to own the damn thing, but I'm perfectly content with my PSP 1000 model as well and my 3DS.

I think Sony's days in gaming are numbered.
Why? I know they are in financial trouble but smart businesses don't need a lot of money. Just smart business moves, look at Nintendo for example. :)

That was terrible, you're probably a really nice guy but that made me want to smash you in the face with a Game Cube. Sorry. I was forced to watch Mrs. Brown's Boys this evening so I have a fair bit of pent up rage.

The Vita's a great idea but the execution has been very poor and it's probably going to die on it's are very quickly. I loved my PSP to bits but mobile gaming and access to content has moved on and Sony just are not doing enough to keep the Vita a viable contender in a much expanded and crowded market.

I did just spend ages writing a big reply to that, but i somehowmpressed a button that deleted it all.

    Probs for the best.

Parting thought: sony are notma smart business. This is the company that thought betamax and minidisc were the future. This is the company that thought a good marketingnstrat for ps3 was telling people to get a second job to afford one, and this is a company that launched the mostnexpensive handheld console ever made in the middle of a financial collapse, and ae currentlymhoping 25k tvs will get them out of theirnmess.

Haha I quite agree. It was one of those jokes that sounds like a good idea in your head, after a night of heavy drinking.

The Vita's a great idea but the execution has been very poor and it's probably going to die on it's are very quickly. I loved my PSP to bits but mobile gaming and access to content has moved on and Sony just are not doing enough to keep the Vita a viable contender in a much expanded and crowded market.

To an extent I agree with your point. Yes the execution of the Vitas potential has been terrible (lazy and sparse advertisement, lack of triple A software bar Persona, Wipeout and Little Big Planet, over priced memory cards etc.) but I doubt the Vita will die. Sony are too heavily invested in that platform and not to mention they do have tiny (but have none the less) a market with that. That's easy money if Sony just 'wise up' and start getting 3rd parties behind this. Remember, it doesn't need ipad or DS sales numbers. A business is always about profit. FULL STOP. And If Sony are profiting from it at the end of the day then can you really see the Vita dieng? Especially now with persona 4 comming, Soul Sacrifice etc.?

Wasn't KZ the Sony flagship FPS? I know 2 was fairly well regarded, what happened with 3?

Having just read this in the last KZ4 article:

One steampunk Sherlock Holmes-fighting-Frankenstein-monsters idea turned into a '70s-punk game named Dark Science, where hero Jake Crowbar fought monsters as if he were Dirty Harry.
They just really need to stop making games at all.

Edit:: If Jake Crowbar wasn't also a mystery solving porn star, their entire creative team should be fired.

Trus story: at the launch of the ps3, i genuinely couldn't tell the difference between resistance and a ps2 game. It was fucking dire.

Half an hour of playing it convinced me that insomniac just live on their reputation instead of building on it. Further proof: ratchet and fucking clank, unchoreted 3

I did buy Resistance for a fiver the last time I bought a PS3. Took it back to the shop three times because I insisted they'd given me a PS2 game by mistake.

I do love Ratchet and Clank as well as UC1, but 2 and 3 don't grab me and I'm terrified The Last of Us is going to be a lot more scripted and disappointing.

Ok, i made a boo boo. Still the same shit i was playing back in 94, only with better texture mapping and more fucking qtes - which, ironically, came from from before i was fucking born and were rightly left to rot until sega in their infinite fucking wisdom decided to regurgitate them in shen fucking mue.

Amd the end result? We have fucking idiots whowe first meet in the damn shower relying on us to press buttons in time so he can save his fucking son because, let's be honest, balloons are the sole preserve of drain-dwelling clowns and suicide bombers in parisian cafes.
