Registered 7 years agoBless you @quadfather, hopefully the vet will locate a microchip and you'll make some kids xmas as you can return a well loved pet. -

Name it Guybrush if it can for more than 10 minutes. Let us know the results.

Registered 3 years agoWell our male cat (who is a wuss) just runs away now, and our female has a bit of a growl with her but nothing major
She seems housetrained - just let her out and she does the business and came straight back
Trying to work out if it was just some callous wanker that dumped her, or whether it's an early christmas present that's escaped from a nearby house
Hopefully someone will ring up when they see the sign in the shop
She's meowing a bit though, probably confused as fuck as to where she ispsn = quaddy456

Registered 3 years agoCouldn't just leave it, poor thing would have died/got runover/starved/etc etc. We'll certainly look after her till we get either the owner or a good home sorted. Just trying to arrange with work to get time to take her to the vets
Pity though, I like the South West, I could do with a visit down there

Good point! Has the cat been checked for Chicago Town Pizzas, too?

Registered 2 years agoPending you taking her to your vet for a microchip scan, I'd also phone around all of your local vets to see if anyone has reported her missing.
Good on you for taking her in, even though it's obviously a bit stressful for her and your existing cats. -

Registered 3 years agoThat's one thing I did do earlier on - I've done the lot - the rspca's, the pet protection society, vets, rescue centres etc and then got a whole extra bunch of numbers that they gave me for more local centres. Unfortunately, no results as of yet. Hopefully get the vets done tomorrow at this rate.
Yeah, it's a little stressed when they're all together, but i'm keeping an eye on them and so far so good. The fact that all 3 have eaten and have been in and outside, and have their own places to escape to is working so far.
Since we only got her last night, I'm putting a few hopes on someone ringing me after they've got back from work today, but we'll see.psn = quaddy456

Registered 8 years agoIt's my biggest hate about renting places - no pets. I miss having a cat around the house.
Well done quad for being awesome. -

Registered 4 years agoAh well, you can always kill one of the older cats and keep this new one.
And still get a dog. -

Registered 3 years ago@docrob - agreed. Plus her coat is in very good condition. Just need to check the chip and take it from there really. Reckon I'll need some more cat food

"The new cat", eh? You're clearly keeping it! I'd definitely keep a cat if I found one, but I live in another country to my two nowadays.
Well, spoke to the wife, and we're going to have to get a litter tray and keep it in a room in the house while we've got it. Nothing much else for it really.
Then take it to the vets and check for a chip and see if the owner turns up.
Don't think it's a stray - there's no collar, but she has a very good coat
There's a kind of 3 way mexican stand off with the other 2 looking at it from different areas in the house. Except that the new cat is still fast asleep, bless it -

Registered 8 years agoCats generally don't care where they are as long as they're treated well and fed, it'll soon forget any previous owner it had. You know you want to keep it anyway, quad.
.
We have this big male cat who comes round every few days, he's clearly got an owner and well looked after but he comes to us for food as well the cheeky bugger.
He was a nice proportionate, big cat a few months back, now he's a chunky fucker. I bet he's got a round of several houses where he goes for grub,

Registered 3 years ago@lucky_jim - dammit. You're right! Missus has gone home early from the pub to check on her.
Well as far as I see it, either we'll look after it or its owner/good home that'll take it.
Just spoke to missus and I asked why she let her in...
"pissing down, freezing, she was starving and she's really loving"

Registered 5 years agoGot a message from a mate today who was cat sitting whilst not knowing much about cats, being scared of them in his sleep, and having an allergic girlfriend. Now I've got a super chilled 8 year old fat cat wandering around my flat for the next few weeks
