Unit 13's setting and story etc are the epitome of generic by-the-numbers modern military fare. So much so that it almost seems deliberate, poking fun at itself. The gameplay's excellent though so you soon forget :)

Unit 13 is all very generic but the mechanics are solid and it plays well enough.

Didn't hold my attention for long I'll admit, but I can see why some like it.

Fantastic month for Plus, on PS3 and Vita. I own Unit 13 but have wanted Ninja Gaiden for quite a long time, holding off on purchase as I believed it was imminently going to arrive on Plus.

I'm surprised to see Battlefield 3 go free and I am looking forward to trying that and SR3 out. I've wanted PayDay since it game out too. Just fantastic this month, I can't believe people complain about our Plus offerings!

Ah shitsticks, bought Unit 13 for 12 a few weeks ago when it was in a sale. Knew I should have waited as I still haven't played it!

Lots of games reduced in price too.

    Everybody's golf is now 6.99
    Virtua tennis down to 13.49

Is Music unlimited any good? I've been subscribed to spotify in the past, is this similar?

Music Unlimited is great, have been using it on my S3 since December. Very similar to Spotify, with an option to download tracks and play them offline.

That's a great price for Everybody's Golf. As the title suggests, even if you don't like golf or golf games there is a lot to enjoy. There's a huge amount of content and Kat from Gravity Rush as a DLC character!

Just ordered Everbody's Golf (sans network pass) for 19p more than that, so feel a bit of a mug. Still got an absolute fuck ton of psp and vita games to transfer to my memory card, so it'll be good to have it not cluttering up my memory card even more.

So as always seems to be the case when it's on offer, Unit 13 is 'not available for purchase' for me. Utterly bizarre but at least it's not a game I actually care about.

@Murbal Same happened to me, but worked when I manually searched for it on the psn store.

Astonishingly, when I go into the store via the Vita, they still want 14.99 for it even though Ninja Gaiden is up for PS+.

    @Murbal

Are you in the UK? Unit 13 is never available to me at reduced prices when it is for others. I wouldn't be surprised if I can't get it on PS+. Seems to have some issue on the SA store at least.

    I am.

It all relates (I think) to a Unit 13 promo I got when signing up to something. I gave the code away to someone who couldn't use it so I tried it on mine and it worked - 50% off Unit 13. I never bought it.

So when not on offer, I still got the chance to buy it for half the 29.99 price. When it is on offer at either a reduced price or now free on PS+, I'm unable to purchase.

    Partly my fault, mostly Sony's.

So this month we get Lego LotR (yay) and When Vikings Attack.

Disappointing that we're not getting New Little Kings Story, but there's a suggestion in the blog comments that it may turn up over the next few months...

Oh, and a when Vikings Attack is Cross buy, so you get the PS3 version too :)

Both good games for those who don't own them already. When Vikings Attack is great online and has very good net code.

Incidentally, it seems Sony fixed that Unit 13 issue as I've been able to download to the Vita and backup to the PC.

Pretty happy with the September collection
    - New Little King's Story
    - Urban Trials
    - Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark (via PS3 Cross-buy)

I've already got and completed Stealth Inc (definitely worth playing) and I was hoping for NLKS :)

That said, I still haven't played the last few offerings - Unit 13, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Lego LotR or JSR :)

Nothing for me this month, but I do hope this gets more people playing and enjoying NLKS. It deserves the love. :)

I forgot Jet Set Radio was even on the Vita. I tried it after downloading on Plus too! I wish there were less games so I had time to go back to something like JSR to learn more about the game.

PSN+ is ridiculous value for money. Many games over the last few months are games I already own but if you own a Vita, it's your duty to get Plus.

I'm actually loving the sales more than Plus at the minute. Just bought Crazy taxi and Monster Hunter for just over a fiver. Bargain. Plus I've got Persona 3 to finish, Persona 4 to start and then Killzone this week. Need to stop buying games.

    @aros

JSR is an interesting game as a curiosity but it has aged very badly.

Aye, I planned to give it an hour but only played about 15 minutes as Retro City Rampage came out the same day it went free IIRC.

I didn't like JSR at the time it originally came out. Growing up with the SNES I couldn't stand the early clunky and mechanically poor 3D games that seemed to blow everyone's minds. Gaming primarily on a PC which was 100x superior to consoles over that period meant the graphics etc weren't even particularly impressive. JSR looked nice but I enjoyed watching someone else play a lot more than playing myself.

I must admit I find it confusing when people reminisce about the original GTA before revealing they are referring to the awful PS1 version rather than the PC game. PS1 versions of every big PC game around that period were basically unplayable.
