How do you think I know about the application error? So no, I haven't won it, because, you know, I can't. But that doesn't mean I haven't tried to. The game is quite a bit shorter than the original anyway, and its especially easy to blast through because I've already played this game before.

Hey hey, I wasn't questioning your ability to complete the game. I only asked how far you'd got because I was wondering if you'd come across anything tying the game into the R universe yet. I wasn't trying to upset you. :)

I know people who got horrible bugs in games I've played when I didn't and vice versa so please don't think I am getting at you somehow.

Edit: Reading your post again, I think it's the lack of first person that made me think you were talking about your mates. :)

As Santashi said bugs can be a bit random.

One of my friends claims to have played both of the recent Fallout games on PS3 to completion without seeing a single bug!

He must be the only person to be able to claim that. (I think he might just be blind).

Thanks-that's what I was trying to say. For example, I got a very odd (and fairly problematic) bug in Tomb Raider that I haven't seen anyone else say they got at all.

If the Fallout games have as many bugs as Skyrim then that's a pretty amazing achievement! :p

Haha, really? I do want to get round to playing them sometime but I keep going back to Skyrim. Not so many bugs that they're no longer fun, though, I take it?

I wasn't angry at all, sorry if the tone seemed like that. I think in Japanese, so my English comes out in a Japanese way at times. There isn't much of a need to clarify who is talking in Japanese, so sometimes it comes off vague in my English. Getting used to having a subject or a pronoun is every sentence is one of the hardest things to learn about English for a Japanese person. For a long long time, you make sentences like, "Goes to the market" or "Is good" because in Japanese you would know who goes to the market or what is good from the nature of the language.

No worries! As long as you didn't think I was having a go at you. :) I'm probably too precise with my subjects. :p

Regarding the thread topic, I'm back playing ToIR and enjoying it. :)

Now we're going between two threads! Ha ha! :D

Another hint for ToIR, I can't remember whether they nerfed the AI system from the DS version, because I sold it back before I'd played too far (I already own the original, so the remake had less meaning for me and I wanted to keep the higher quality version), but I remember the DS version well. If R keeps it the same, then you really need to tweak AI routines a lot. This game came out in the wake of Final Fantasy XII and was heavily influenced by that game's field hunts and gambit system. Which means that unlike other Tales' games, you need to micromanage the AI more often, in the same way that you did Final Fantasy XII, if you've played that game.

Whether you have or not, this was extremely important in the DS game.

I loved the battle system in FFXII.

The ToIR AI seems pretty much the average Tales system, but I'm only 5 hours in and haven't even unlocked all the menu options yet. :p Just met Conway.

Possible hope for localisation given in the US PSN blog: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/03/21/tales-of-graces-f-coming-to-psn-326-tales-of-xillia-on-ps3-this-summer/

If you scroll to the bottom of the post you'll see that it will be a 'Tales of filled year' with 'surprise announcements'. Not sure how many things apart from Xillia 2 that they can be announcing for the US apart from the Vita games.

That's the EU Tales of account, so fingers crossed for something good, like a game release announcement.

As opposed to, oh I don't know, DLC costumes or somesuch.

Yeah, I'm assuming it'll be a date for Xillia, but wouldn't it be lovely if it was that plus news of both Innocence R and Hearts R... a man can dream.

What I don't get is that something like Atelier Totori comes out on PSN yet not these Tales games despite them selling pretty damn well over here, or at least better than the average Atelier game. Then again, even Square Enix is doing that with Final Fantasy Type 0. I'll just never understand.

Well, you've got to consider that a digital-only release changes the image of a game and Namco is trying to be protective of the Tales franchise. Once upon a time, Tales of Symphonia sold over a half a million copies. If they start to foster a brand image that its only popular enough to see release as a limited digital download, that hurts their chances of getting close to that again.

Yes, WE probably don't care as much, but Namco certainly does. Especially because Tales isn't as cheap to localize as people claim.

Okay, the announcements to come have nothing to do with the Vita games. They're unlikely to bring them over unless the Vita sales in the US pick up.

Well... bollocks. I can understand their hesitance, much as I love my Vita.

I wonder what the announcements relate to then?

They're releasing the Milla figure in the US, so maybe they mean announcements like that? Hopefully not, though, since that doesn't make all that much difference to us. :p

Indeed. Funnily enough I just ordered that from amiami a few days ago. A friend happened to see it in Tokyo Toys in Piccadilly... for the princely sum of 115.

Did you order by SAL? It seems to be a bit hit and miss with AmiAmi these days as far as customs goes. The last two things I had from them made it through uncharged though, so fingers crossed! Not sure about my CDJapan order though... :/

The Rita one turned out to be really, really popular, but it is a more dynamic pose than they normally do for Tales figures and she is a pretty well-loved character.

If I remember correctly (not that it was ages ago, just that I've a memory like a sieve), I went for Air Small Packet. I think it was only about 4 more expensive than SAL, but it was an estimated delivery of 1-2 weeks versus 2-5 with SAL. But then I realised that because it's covered, they must have to declare its full value, so I'll probably get hit one way or another! I've been looking at stuff on AmiAmi for a while, but this is my first order, so I more-or-less fumbled my way through. I'm probably doing it wrong :p

Have you had a CDJapan order go missing?

Yeah, that's one reason I wanted it, it looks really good. Maybe it'll randomly turn up in Tokyo Toys one day (for an exorbitant price). Saying that, I did get this in there for thirty quid a while back, so who knows.

EDIT - Heh, and I just found this through that Amazon.com link.
