Yes mate, everything I saw about you last night was pro.

    BUT...

You were the only one to lose a Divine Rapier. While Preacher held onto his the entire time he had it. So preacher more Pro than you.

    @DamoVotf "his"

It did make the match more fun though. Had their Puck held on to it longer or better yet had one of their "better" players picked it up the match would have probably been more balanced for the 2nd half.

Next time I know - get a shadow blade before the DR

I think I need to practice invoker. Quite a few games recently I've played vs a decent invoker and he just fucking wrecks everyone when done right.
  • Deleted user 12 March 2014 16:53:32
Invoker is to me what DOTA is to someone who's never used a PC before.

A big part is just remembering what all the spell combos are and being able to reliable mash your keyboard with them.

Also a lot of timing stuff to get the tornado-EMP-Meatball combo off properly (seen plenty of invokers that EMP too soon and miss everyone).

you don't need to remember the spell combos with Invoker anymore.

Next to your ulti is a ? that can be clicked for a pop up window which you can leave permanently displayed to show you all the combos.

@Gunzberg You still need to remember them because you're not going to be pulling off great combos if you need to keep looking at that list.

@smoggo ofc, thought it might be useful for others though.

You can also definitely solo Rosh as Invoker, just Ice wall, summon your minions and he can't hit you whilst you dps him down.

So the game decided to pay me back for losing 5 games in a row.

22-0-6 with a Rikki in the easiest game in a long time.

They really messed up the match making with the last patch. Its just horrendous these days.

Anyone watched Free to Play yet? It follows 3 pro players through the first Internation and is really good. You can get it here http://store.steampowered.com/app/245550/

    Cheers, downloading now.

In other news I've been playing in the scrub league in SEA. I wish I could actually get into a game where someone doesn't disconnect in the first five minutes. It's like... Your skill doesn't matter. It's just down to luck if you or the other team get some Indonesian with shit internet that determines if you win or lose. :D

Yeah, I'd recommend watching "Free to Play". They've got great pro personalities on camera. Starts off slow but picks up pace after the first third.

I'll double post to pimp this awesome game I saw on Sunday:
Korean Dota League tier 2 -Nemesis vs EoT Hammer. It was such a ridiculous game.

So I've lost 9 ranked matches in a row and have tanked from 4600 to 4200 this week. I've never been so angry at a video game. And yet I can't stop until I get a win.

Getting angry puts you on tilt and the losing never stops.

@mrharvest going to check it out right now considering it's only 25min

ok, now watched. the strategy could have been more efficient. The idea though is pretty much a copy of a video I linked earlier here in the thread some months back.

Execution, though, not as pro as one might think though in this case. Still an interesting watch

Yeah, the Korean scene is pretty new so the "pro" games are pretty much like pubs. That's why EoT Hammer (the better team) still lost against Nemesis, even though Nemesis made pretty big mistakes. Here you never know how a game will end.

Will be interesting to see how MVP handle Starladder tbh, seeing as that'll be the first time a Korean team gets an international challenge.

    MUFC V2.0?

ESL looks like it'll be amazing too - especially considering it's in a giant fucking football stadium.

eSports man - like Free to Play said, 10 years from now, it's gonna be a real thing. Like a REAL thing. It already is in China and Korea, the rest of the world just needs to catch up.
