A few forumites have been discussing this on Twitter but apparently it has no thread? Anyone else watch it? Gist of first episode seems to be "like Batman Begins, but he opts for a Robin Hood costume instead of a bat, gets a bow and learns parkour".

Registered 9 years agoI'm not sure, they've gone with a very good looking male cast. The scene where he was using his pull up bar as an adjustable ladder was turning me temporarily gay. -

It's not, it's alright, but it is Green Arrow Begins: The Star City Years. It has a more convincing overarching plot but it's just Smallville again. -

No idea why they changed the name of the city though.This space left intentionally blank.

It's very odd tonally, Batman Begins meets Smallville.
Also, it has a narration worse than Blade Runner.

Registered 7 years agoIts hilarious. He murders henchmen with gay abandon, then lets the bosses face justice because it’s the right thing to do. Just kill them, you bender. The character is just all over the place. He snaps a guys neck because he doesn’t want anyone to know his secret, then he lets some army guy who he just met and continually humiliates into his inner sanctum.

Registered 12 months agoA friend showed me the episode that had the bank robbers in it. I think it's the newest one.
His little sister is a looker, but the other two looked like their faces would melt if exposed to sunlight. I think seeing it in HD really made the makeup stand out or something.
There was something about his ghost dad stopping him from killing himself, and... uh... invisible ink? Like a list of names or something? Why wouldn't his dad just tell him?
That being said, it might be better if I wasn't watching it as a stand-alone thing. But I'm not exactly aching to see another episode either. -

You can see the grime of smallville all over it (overbearing woman, mass fanfares) but its hard to see where game of thrones come in other than the camera filters for the island thing.
