I mean all the liberal articles telling us why most gamers are bad people and why they should feel bad for being heterosexual.

I come to EG for the news not the social commentary. I look at other websites less and less because they are all part of the same liberal clique based out of the US and now EG are putting these articles out keen to show they are part of the same clique.

Does anybody else hate that videogames journalism only has one voice now and not only that it is the voice of the minority that do not represent gamers? There are certain things I can accept but I am not a male apologist and I will not be made to feel bad by liberal male apologists or feminists who think the path to equality is superiority.

It's a natural part of growing up.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

If Nick Clegg starts writing articles I'm done with this site.

It's certainly full of a bunch of yonis.

I agree. Eurogamer has definitely lost its way. I remember in the old days it used to review Video Games. I don't know what it's trying to be now.

    I couldn't agree more.

Just shut up and report the news already; I don't really give a shit about your opinions on booth babes and what not. Give me reviews.

Yeah, look at it with its game shows and expos and community - madness. And over 30 reviews since the 1st of September - lazy liberal clique fuckers.

It's a site that now hosts its own 50000 person attending games expo and has decided that one element that hasn't been much of a factor of any of the previous 4 is something it doesn't want to have any more.

I do wonder how many people whinging about Rauper's decision actually fucking went to the Expo in the first place?

Any chance you could link to the bit where a journalist on Eurogamer wrote that people should feel bad for being heterosexual? I don't think I've read anything like that on the site.

It's not entirely fair or correct to say that Eurogamer suddenly has a liberal agenda and no longer is about covering video games. Look at our output objectively: what percentage is truly not about video games?

I couldn't agree less. I enjoy the articles representing the ever increasing adult population of gamers, whether I agree with them or not. It's fascinating to see the industry trying to find its feet as a growing medium.

If you want to keep your low brow tits and babes conversations going forever then may I suggest you start frequenting CVG?

That depends whether we count the six million Molyneux PR posts you make every month.

The booth babes decision matters to me not because of the decision but because of the reasoning behind it. I had planned to check out an EG expo and whether booth babes were going to be there never factored into the decision. I am really turned off from going now because of the light they have framed gamers in and their general attitude towards sexuality.

Stopped reading the front page yonks ago. Plenty of other sites do the same news either more accurately or more timely. The reviews have gone to the dogs over the last few years too.

@craigy This is Florence's perception of a heterosexual gamer:

USAGE: "Wow, dude, did you see that Booth Babe over by the Virgin stand?! She's so super hot and she has a QR code on her ass!" "Who uses QR codes?" "Who cares, man?! What an ass!"

I've been prety surprised by the hostility to the booth babes article. Must mean I'm an old fart these days.

Honestly, if you want to go perv at flesh, go to a strip joint. As has been eloquently articulated by many people it's just a bit of a cheap gimmick at a games show and reinforces all the stereotypes about gamers.

It's quite possible to be heterosexual and think girls in hot pants with QR codes on their arses is tacky and inappropriate.

That's not him making you feel bad for being heterosexual; that him trying to make you feel bad for objectifying a woman as nothing more than an ass to be stared at. I think there's a pretty clear difference.

Voice of reason; there's already a thread on booth babes. We don't need a second one. This one's for bitching about EGs lefty socialist press style of posting lately!

Personally I think we should make the site's colour scheme red and yellow and change the logo to a hammer and sickle.

@craigy Now we're talking! But that's communist, not socialist. I wouldn't mind though. Commies have the best beards.

I always get my commies and socialists mixed up. A bit like I can never remember the difference between aubergines and courgettes.

It's not about being ashamed to be heterosexual. It's not about being able to appreciate the female form. It's not about the cosplaying. It's about the women that have been hired by the company not for their knowledge of a product but to be used as human billboards to be oggled.

A model is paid to look good and be attractive, regardless of gender. When I see a female model selling something I am not transplanting my view of models on the entire female gender. If there is any degrading going on here it is Florence's stereotyping.

    Combine red and yellow.

Orange would be a good colour scheme for this place.
