That's the main thing that's stopped me in the past - I don't know a solenoid from a relay, etc. Expensive clothes horse.
Just remember a real table requires a fair bit of maintenance. -

Registered 10 years agoI'd say Pack #2 - Cirqus Voltaire and Funhouse - both classic tables with loads of great modes, which you'll get loads of fun out of straight away without having to invest much practice.
Pack #3 is also excellent - Gorgar and Monster Bash - but both tables need a bit of commitment to the learning the rule set before you get the most out of them (the design of Monster Bash is utter utter genius).
Taxi is probably my favourite table alongside Monster Bash, but it's packed with the shithouse that is Harley-Davidson. -

Registered 10 years agoOh yeah, also worth watching some gameplay/tutorials videos first if you want to get a feel for them (Bowen Kerins's commentary on his tutorial videos is in itself great entertainment):

Registered 6 years agoHi All - I'm really getting into Zen 2 on Vita but none of my current friends play the game! I'm mostly enjoying the original tables rather than the licensed ones, but do play Plants vs Zombies as well. Hopefully some of you would like to add me?
My GT is aros2011
Which Zen2 tables would you guys recommend? I plan to purchase several more once we get to payday this month.

Registered 4 years ago@aros - my PSN ID is kosigan - feel free to add me. I've got all the Zen tables, though my scores are not very good - I've not put enough time into any one of them to learn it well enough to get the really high scores. -

Registered 8 years agoI’ve just started getting into both Pinball Arcade and Zen Pinball 2. Got a few tables for each. Though I’m really crap at them.
Arcade tables I’ve got Black Hole, Black Knight, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Theatre of Magic and Twilight Zone
Zen Pinball Tables El Dorado, Paranormal, Shaman, Tesla, V12 and plants Vs Zombies.
I’m planning on buying a pack for each every monthSomewhere out there, a neurotic chicken wants to cross the road but is paralyzed by the knowledge that everyone will question his motives

Registered 8 years agoAin't the Star Wars tables out next week? I think it's 9.99 euros for the pack. Looking forward to them, in spite of the fact that I tend to prefer the themed to the marvel tables.
Maybe I ain't given Pinball Arcade enough of a chance, I prefer the over topness of Zen. I was tempted to pick up the Elvira table though. -

Registered 7 years agoI play Zen on occasion. I have the Classic pack, the Avengers pack and Sorcerer's Lair. Nine tables altogether.
Feel free to add me, although I should point out that I'm pretty rubbish at the game AND I'm new to the whole PSN Friends concept. I haven't gone out of my way to aquire any. Got to learn sometime though, right?
My PSN ID is the same as my Eurogamer name. -

The tables are awesome.
But as ever, the physics are all wrong. The balls are weightless, and often seem to change direction of their own accord. -

Registered 10 years agoYep, physics are useless - probably a side effect of playing so much Pinball Arcade recently, but I even went back to Wolverine to check and it's nothing like as bad as the first two Star Wars tables. Boba Fett table seems like it has slightly better handling, and probably the best layout though. -
I got the Star Wars tables on Vita. Oddly, I found Zen's physics far more to my taste and never went back to PA after buying ZP2. Anyway, the Empire Strikes Back table is great, a real nostalgia trip.
