This looks so different to what came before, it'll be an interesting run of final episodes, if nothing else.

I hope that wasn't a serious answer. If it was then I'll have to go to the naughty places.

This is the amber thread, ergo, a far cooler thread than the other more blue, boring one.

Yeah, that was a bloody stonker of an episode and carried some real emotional clout. Excellent start!

Just watched season 5 premiere. It's fucking brilliant. The returning of that old guy from the book store was genius. I'm just wondering how he's still alive...

Ó mar salgado, quanto do teu sal
    São lágrimas de Portugal!
Por te cruzarmos, quantas mães choraram,
    Quantos filhos em vão rezaram!
    Quantas noivas ficaram por casar
Para que fosses nosso, ó mar!

I've just watched Dexter today on my mobile but intend downloading this and Homeland tonight to watch on Tuesday and Wednesday at work. I'm currently watching and again Season 4 again on BD at home. Perfect. :)

I couldn't get into it. I really got hooked to Fringe up to and including season 3 but 4 wasn't so great and I'm not that interested in the current future plotline.

    Walter's torture was pretty harrowing.

    He's just older :)

I'm just wondering if they have enough budget to keep up the future world setting; I thought they had it cut?

Awesome episode. Lots of stuff for them to cover in flashback episodes like what Peter was up to in Boston while Olivia was in New York, the time between them being pregnant and having a 3 year old daughter (who is insanely hot i might add) and what plan Walter and September came up with.

I hope that Widmark dies in a horrific way for torturing Walter like that the bastard!

The opening episode of season 5 was very enjoyable but I wish they'd saved last season's decidedly out-of-place (IMO) future episode to start this season instead and that this episode had been the second one. Also, I hope we're going to see something of what happened between 2012 and 2016 when the Observers invaded and the team became encased in amber because, at the moment, it feels like I've missed out on a huge chunk of the storyline and a handful of episodes.

That aside, I love that each season of Fringe feels distinct from the one before it. I've really grown quite fond of this series since its patchy (but still terrifically entertaining) X-Files wannabe season 1 and will be sad to see it end. At the same time, I'm glad it is getting a resolution and hasn't been suddenly cancelled like so many other great shows (I'm still bitter about the awesome Stargate Universe and the fun V, both of which should have at least had a third season IMO). John Noble is such a terrific actor and steals every scene he is in. The series just wouldn't have been the same without him.

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 4 GB EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 SC, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

I really enjoyed the 2nd episode and the questions it raised about the resistance. It made Etta more interesting and added a new dynamic to the character relationships. I just wonder how the series is going to be paced with it having far fewer episodes.
