    One thing that's odd is that the THQ sale is easy to find on my XBox but when I went to buy the Saints Row 3 DLC on the other console, it was nowhere to be found on the new dash... I had to find the game manually. Looks like they forgot to add the sale stuff.

    Damn it, was hoping they'd delete more of the original Xbox 'tags in this update :/ Anyone know when the next Gamertag clearout could be??

    I don't think that'll be until the next XBox is a few years in. It took them years before the first one.

    I haven't turned the xbox on today but I didn't get it yesterday so I'm not holding my breath, just figured I would get it when I get it they said it will take two weeks to roll out

    Don't think I've had the IE update yet, but my gold subscription just expired. Is IE visible to gold members only and is it obvious when you've been updated?

    Just found it mentioned on some comments, IE does require a gold subscription. How can Microsoft justify locking out applications like IE9 and YouTube until you pay them?

    I've already paid Microsoft for the console and software on it, and I pay Virgin for my broadband. That should be the end of it.

    I don't have to pay Acer to use YouTube or IE9 on my Laptop. I don't have to pay Microsoft extra to use YouTube or IE9 on my laptop. I don't have to pay Google or HTC to view YouTube or browse the web on my phone using wi-fi. Why do Microsoft still firmly cling on to the idea that I have to pay for these services on the Xbox?

    I'm sure there's some sort of technicality that Microsoft use to justify this cost, but it's out of whack with the rest of the competition and the rest of the world. It's verging on morally wrong, much like their MS Points replacing real money. It all reminds me of a shifty games arcade designed to take your money.

    I only play select titles online very very occasionally. I've paid for gold subscriptions the last few years and, even though it's not very much each month, I barely make any use of it and it's just another one of life's expenses, and I can't justify paying it any more. Really disappointed that I'm missing out on YouTube and IE9 as a consequence.

    Why would you want to go on YouTube/IE on a console if you've got access to a computer?

    @Syrette For when people are over, its easier to gather around a wall mounted 40inch tv than a small desttop monitor in my case. Also keeps people away from porn loaded pc's which is not my case... honest

    the part that annoys me is that i still get ads with a gold membership. Surely me paying for the service should exclude me from ads. Like a tv license. oh and ive not had the update yet either :p

    I find it weird that as a beta guy mine just lost the beta tab. That was it. I got no "new update" type warning, just lost the beta tab.

    Aside from the actual 3rd party ads I don't give a fuck about ads for stuff actually offered by 360. Whaaa Steam sells me games etc.

    Rather they weren't there, ultimately, but meh.

    I thought this new update came out on the 16th? I still haven't been prompted to update my Xbox 360 here in the UK yet.

    PS3, PS Vita, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 3 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780, Windows 8 Pro), iPad 4

    I dont understand this. i know people who live just 4 miles away, and they received the update days ago. in the past i never had to wait this long. tbh i have grown tired of microsoft. i feel like jumping ship.

    The only significant addition is IE. Aside from that you're really not missing much, and it's just a stripped down browser at the end of the day anyway.

    I think some people attach far too much value to the dashboard/XMB+PS Store. They're both things you should be spending very little time in, and on 360 at least you can do pretty much everything you want just using the Guide and Xbox.com anyway.

    Its not just the update thing thats pissing me off. its everything they have been doing of late thats beginning to irritate me. kinect gold membership for lovefilm youtube strict marketplace policy bollocks etc. im in for halo 4, but i have my eye on a gaming pc atm. never tried pc gaming.
