    @Razz

    Cheers bud, even for basic browsing, reading, Netflix?

    I won't be gaming on it. But may do a little integration with chrome cast etc.

    @PrivateFloyd get v2
    The 1st gen one is fine until you have used it for a few months, it will then become unbearably slow and unresponsive.
    The only thing I can think of that's better on the v1 is the rubbery finish on the back.
    V2 the screen is superior, lighter, thinner, 2 cameras, quicker generally.

    ^^^^^ He's wrong.

    If you're gonna be reading a lot, get the second Nexus.

    Cheers chaps.

    I only use the tablet for browsing really but will heed the collective advice.

    I'm trying to strike a balance between cost and how much I will likely use it i.e. 270 on an ipad mini isn't going to happen but anything around 100-150 is palatable.

    Will shop around for v2.

    FWIW, I never really noticed the speed issues on my 1st Gen Nexus. I'd still be using it now if I hadn't broken it.

    Which reminds me, I sold my broken Nexus for 30 which is nice considering I was just going to chuck it.

    I love my v2. It does everything I want it to (which is essentially browsing and media).

    That it did.

    I managed to factory reset it, before anyone says anything :)

    I notice he isn't denying the Tom Bramwell slash fic part of these questions.

    I'm afraid to answer as I'm getting the impression that PES_Fanboy is inappropriately touching himself to the responses.

    "I'm a bluepiller too Bramster" Tom said suggestively, popping two Viagra under his foreskin

    I do, and it's superb. Current issues notwithstanding. (also discovered I can't create a thread, no idea of that's new or not).

    I was thinking of getting one as well. The Kindle Fire is very poor and I love the Nexus 5 phone. How is the battery life?

    Just browsing etc you can get a few days out if it easily. Streaming hits it a bit harder, as does gaming. Not that I use it much for gaming, but you'll still get 6-8 hours out of it

    Edit: to be honest, if you get on with the Android OS, and are aware of any app limitations, I'm not sure why you'd go for an iPad mini over the Nexus. I get that some don't like Android though.

    Ordered! 32GB for 139 (I had 30 in Nectar vouchers) - looking forward to dabbling next week.

    v2 also runs @5Ghz, if your router is capable and you've got good signal. If you've got fibre too, you'll have a very fast on-line experience.

    I've found battery perfectly adequate.

    @mrpon I've been considering one for a few months. I see the point but then I don't.
