It might actually be the greatest thing in the world.

    What is your favourite?

Dibs mint choc chip and coffee.

Raspberry and vanilla or really good soft vanilla.

Don't like chocolate in any form.

I used to make my own: chocolate with caramel bits in it, and vanilla with tiny marshmallows were both very successful.

Unfortunately it turns me in to a fat bastard so I had to stop doing that.

Carte D'or Caramel Cinnamon Waffle. Tried the blue version, wasn't a fan.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

At the risk of sounding like a snob I have to say that italian ice cream in Italy so far ahead of any other ice cream that I hardly enjoy eating ice cream anywhere else.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Oooh, raspberry ripple ice cream, sandwiched between a couple of wafers, is still a thing of beauty. Damn you DB, may have to buy a block of raspberry ripple on the way home now.

I can't think of any flavours I don't like other than rum and raisin. But my favourite has to be mint choc chip.

Speaking of going old skool I remember liking this stuff on my ice cream when I was little. It used to set into a crisp shell on the top.

My fav is plain old vanilla, but Choc + mint + ice-cream is one of the greatest flavour match-ups of all time.

Has anyone researched the Ben & Jerry's Core range yet?

Mint choc chip is always good. Lately I have been enjoying making and eating a lot of milkshakes which allow me indulge in a large icecream intake.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

    +1 for pistachio.
And Green and Blacks Chocolate ice cream is lovely as it seems to be extra chocolatey.

Not as nice as I used to be

The best Ben & Jerry's I've ever had was about 10 years ago - Oatmeal Cookie Chunk - still remember getting it from a Blockbuster when "renting a DVD". Haven't been able to find it since, and it doesn't appear on their website. Anyone else lucky enough to taste this rare limited edition FLAVA?

Man you can do it with anything, it immediately elevates your ice cream to awesome. I like to get some basic carte d'or, chocolate chips and a big chocolate cookie, stick the cookie in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, then you mash the brownie and chocolate chips in to the ice cream and you're done.

Italian place in London makes the most amazing pistacio icecream I think you can have anywhere. It's amazing.

    Speak the truth hussy!

Belgian Chocolate Haagen Daz is the king.

Weirdly, the ice cream served in Thornton's is actually really nice. They should stop making their crappy chocolates and just focus on the ice cream.

Lidl is awesome for good quality cheap ice cream.

The white berry one has really nice fruity chunks, but the actual core bit spoils the rest of it. It's a really sickly nasty chocolate sauce. But then that's an issue with a lot of Ben & Jerry's stuff.

After spending a year running a small Hagen Daz I've gone completely off ice cream, love frozen yoghurt though.

Oh wow, that's a proper blast from the past. It was probably 98% chemical waste but good god damn, there was nothing like it.

Making your own is so easy and it's much better than the top-range stuff like Green & Blacks.

My current fave is white chocolate and raspberry ripple with white choc chunks.

    Beautiful tender beings.

    Pistachio is best!

Also quite fond of Ben and Jerry's Baked Alaska ice cream (though it is really sickly, so you can only have a bit at a time).

Also 'wiches. Ben and Jerry's 'wiches are awesome.

For those pining for Ice Magic, should you be unable to obtain it, you can make your own.

Its only chocolate and coconut oil apparently.
