I hope it's got some night-trap style hacking CCTV camera + comical traps gameplay

A third person cover shooter with techie gimmicks is what's been missing in your gaming life?

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

I wish someone would make an FPS set in the WWII.

It looks visually impressive but was I really blown away by the gameplay? not yet, I'll have to see more.

The hacking device looks a bit too contrived as well. Unlimited hacking of everything in the city at the touch of a button with one small handheld device? How is that possible? Is it some sort of universal supercomputer, the size of a mobile phone? If this was some sort of stolen top secret government device, or if this was science fiction maybe, but I'm not really buying it, yet.

Maybe if they'd shown a trailer/gameplay about finding different systems/devices to hack different things for different objectives all while trying not to get caught and achieving your goals I'd be a bit more convinced.
Did you see both videos? The one without game play footage explained the scenario: in the future the entire city would have everything run by a central computer system. The device is probably pre-setup with a hacked connection to said system and hence the control.

Ah, gotcha. I wish they would use the interesting concept for something ... more. But yeah. Still early days and UBI did make BG&E so I shouldn't be to hard on them.

Remotely? Not sure things would have changed that much in the near future setting to mean they'd be hooked up to the mainframe.

If you can't hack and crash helicopters then this game has no chance. 4/10

I really liked the sound of the bullets hitting the car. Ubi for all their faults generally seem to get the atmosphere and sound of their games spot on.

It's Assassins Creed in modern times. How are people not noticing this?

They're great with animation too. The way his coat flaps about when he runs was great.

It looks very cool. Still finding it crazy that it's this gen; Twitter lit up with gaming press saying this was a next gen showcase at the time...

Spuds + walking = AC apparently.

    It's nothing like AC.
"Here's your target. Use you gadgets (the same thing as the weapons from AC) to get to him. Once you kill him then escape amid bedlam."

Rinse. Repeat. Truly something new and exciting. I sure hope there's loads of pointless collectibles to pad the length and convince me the game isn't utterly repetitive.

It even has pretty much the same targeting reticule and weapon selection screen as AC as well as a near identical walking/running animation.

I am now firmly jaded with gaming. People getting excited about reskins of mediocre games.

I hope they take out all the gun stuff before it's released and you become just an ordinary guy who dies to a single bullet and has no weapons training, using your wits and power over technology to discover the TRUTH and stop a corporate CONSPIRACY.

I hope that (like Hitman) a shoot-out is not your only option.

Basically what I'm saying is I like Hitman.

I looks great but the gameplay is nothing new and Assassins Creed is boring to begin with.

Maybe if it wasn't for E3 being full of shooters up until that point I'd be more positive about it. I'll probably get hyped up about it next time it's shown.

Sounds like a description of the Hitman games, or Thief series. You do sound jaded, yep. I suggest you try a different genre, how about racing sims or RTS.
The throw away quality of a lot of games is not because of the general game idea but its execution. No frustration is a sure road to boredom. Try and find something with a challenge.
