I'm interested in this too. But I've got so much to play at the moment, and I'm so busy away from games that I don't think I'll have the time. Especially with Gravity Rush out next month.

Got this coming tomorrow, reviews have been excellent. Seems with the exception of the loss of graphical oooh aaaah, its an excellent port. 60FPS :D

But this is the perfect loo game. Those other ones are cup of tea, sofa and exotic cigarette type games. This one is more of a getting off at the next stop type game.

I got my copy today from SimplyGames and a quick go on it turned into a three-hour session. The game is superb and every bit as playable as the PS3 version. The graphics are also pretty good with good quality FMV for the story mode and crisp, clear visuals for the actual fights. Animation is superb, the framerate is smooth and the controls tight and precise. The models only look bad when the camera zooms in for a close up where some characters look like PSone models.

It's a shame the developers didn't cheat a bit here and halve the framerate to 30 fps and increase the detail/polygon count on the models (I guess that would have used too much memory?). You can't really see the low poly counts when fighting but these close-ups often have different lighting/colours to the FMV in the story mode which makes them look all the more jarring. For example, Scorpion has a vibrant yellow outfit in the story mode cutscenes but the actual model wears a lemon coloured one. And Goro's skin turns five shades paler between his cutscene and the game.

The amount of content and gameplay more than make up for the game's graphical shortcomings though. I'm glad I decided to buy it after all, especially as it only cost 23.

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 3 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

Would be interested, but too expensive for me at the moment. 30 for retail or 35 on PSN.

Think I'll wait until it comes under 20 before heading in.

I had a look around today, I saw it for 35 in HMV, 30 in Grainger games and 40 in Gamestation. I can understand HMV, they're not really a game retailer, but what are Gamestation playing at?

It's either down back then right thumbstick in any direction, or down forward then thumbstick.

Just spent 2 hours on story mode and agree with Darren. The graphics are great except for the 2 seconds befor each fight when it shows a character close up.

Surely they could have swapped these tiny sequences for higher poly models? Maybe they were cutting down on load times.

Anyway - the most important things are executed masterfully. Playtime graphics are awesome as is the frame rate and the gameplay. The vita dpad finally gets to show off!

It's a superb game. End of. I'm really glad I decided to buy a PS Vita having not owned a handheld since my Game Boy Color as it has really opened my eyes up to how damn brilliant games can be on these things. That I can play them in bed, at work during lunch breaks and on the loo is just a bonus because I find I want to play games on it as much as I would my PC or PS3. Amazing. I really can't wait for a proper RPG to turn up on the machine though but in the meantime Mortal Kombat has enough content to keep me occuppied for a few months until they do. :)

Agree with Darren here, I picked up SpaceMarine for a tenner yesterday, stuck it in the xbox and turned it off, likely forever, after 30min due to boredom. Now if it where in my Vita, I'd probably stick it out and enjoy it more, maybe due to how hassle free it is with booting up and sleeping. Since I got my Vita, I've realized just how unimportant screen size is, as well.

I actually find myself wanting to use it more than my consoles and practically every game I'm excited about, I say to myself "ooh a Vita port would be sublime".. PS3 PSN titles being completely compatible would be just amazing too, make it happen, Sony, make it happen!

Been playing this all weekend on and off. It's great but couldn't they have made it look just a bit better? Uncharted managed it!
