If moaning ever becomes an Olympic sport, make sure you bunch of whingeing cunts enter.

So much hate in this thread.

FWIW, I'm really looking forward to the Olympics. I've been watching the British swimming trials and the facilities and competitions have been excellent. Can't wait for more of the same in the summer.

At the very least, the swimming/diving events are a massive wank-athon in my house.

    Bring it on!

    Post of the day.

I like it when he's angry.

Well, Daley will probably be first up against the tabloid wall to be shot if GB doesn't get a bag of medals. In between all the stories describing how badly done the whole thing is, and how embarrassing the UK is, and the shame of our dirty capital, and the pride of Cameron, and phwooooar Vicki Peddlepants, and we're the greatest country on earth, and where did it all go wrong, and whose idea was it to bring the Olympics to London anyway? etc. etc. etc.

I am not reading any newspapers in the weeks before the Olympics, or during it. This forum will be more balanced and rational. There - I said it.

There's putting in effort, and then there's countdown clocks for everything, pointless barges, retarded over elaborate mascots, cringe worthy medal unveiling ceremonies, reminders every day of how many days there are left until the games start, spoilers of the opening and closing ceremonies being put out like it's some kind of important national secret not to mention all the sensationalist shite the media can possibly storm up. I hope we never get any important event again, it's embarrassing.
I'm pretty sure every bid-winning country does this.

You do realise just how lucrative this event is, right? Of course they're going to make the most of it. If you don't like all the extras, ignore them. If you don't care for sports, then don't watch it when it's on.

Is anyone actually expecting Tom Daley to get a medal? All events I've read about him competing in have been let downs, finishing low in the table and complaints from coaches about his commitment while distracted by "the media". Unknown Chinese diving machine #372 will knock out a dozen perfect, impossible dives in his sleep while our Tom gets ready to take the reigns of The One Show alongside former tennis ace Dan Lobb in 2013 surely.

"Good" sportsmen!? This is Dan Lobb we're talking about. At least Andrew Castle was briefly British No. 1. Dan Lobb reached 18 in the British ranking. I could probably do that at a push!

I love the olympics, I'm looking forward to London messing it up somehow though and Tom Daley does have quite an annoying face...

Least it will give centre stage to Boris Johnson, the UK's premier elite level Statesman.

He never turned up on TV coverage at all. I remember Andrew Castle competing for GB in the Seoul and Barcelona Olympics.

Dan Lobb barely played professionally at all. Think he went into coaching instead.
