Registered 4 years agoJust downloading this now. Bought the Hawaiian Adventure DLC too even before I've installed the game, such is my Flight Sim nerdiness.

Registered 4 years agoI think that will come in time - depending how well supported the game is with DLC. Once there are more scenery areas available I expect there will be airliners to fly between them.
And I wouldn't be surprised if the SDK makes its way to some of the bigger Flight Sim third party addon creators.Pre-childish ragequit username - Harry

Registered 5 years agoI've never been big into simulators, so I have no idea how the serious fans will take to this, but it seems pretty indepth, while adding a lot of accessibility and fun
Controls are tight, but you have to be very delicate with them. Things like landings require a lot of practice and there's even pre-flight checks to do before you take off (they can be skipped or automated).
I don't know if I care enough to put any money down for it, but it's at least worth a download.

I'd rather pay for the game than have it for free and have to install that shit. -

Registered 4 years agoI'm really enjoying it so far. Grabbed the Hawaii adventure pack DLC and have been exploring. Also been doing some scary landing challenges with the extra plane they give you in that DLC.
Clearly lots of different things to come - if you look in the hanger there's a drop down that lists all kinds of aircraft.
BTW for those who haven't tried it. You have to do two very quick and easy missions when you play the first time. Once you've done those you have access to the usual Microsoft Flight Sim stuff like free flight, choosing time, weather etc.Pre-childish ragequit username - Harry

And, seriously, why is Microsoft Flight rated "E : Crude Humor / Mild violence" ? -

It is very good. The flight model is one of the best MS has released - see what happens if you open the cockpit in flight for proof of that.
It's the first game in the FS series to capture the difficulties of bush flying. Thanks to the density of scenery small airstrips are realistically hard to find. And they aren't just flat surfaces either.
While the package may seem simple the sim element is as strong as the series has ever been. I hope MS adds AI traffic, traffic control and real world weather though - these are things I miss from FSX.
I wonder what scenery we'll get next. I'm hoping it's Alaska - that would be a good contrast to Hawaii.
