I'll park it for a few weeks when I get something new, but I keep going back to find it's like hanging out with a good friend I haven't seen in a while.

Such a well made/complete game for a launch title. Feel robbed that Zipper didn't get a chance to follow it up.

Hopes another dev (maybe with ex Zipper staff) will create a sequel.

Just found this thread. (On mobile) Just started this, it's been on the radar for a while to be honest but got it on PS+ in the end. Have to say really enjoying it. Though i do hate timed missioned just generally that it.

To me it seems a bit generic, it just seems like any other shooter I have played not really a fan

If there was a midly engaging story I think this game would have been a big success.

Yes also it'd have to be more linear which i would have preferred that the whole open up lots of missions. It doesn't inspire me to redo them. Been looking forward all day to getting home to play it

Im really not feeling this at all. Seems like Black crossed with The Club and is just completely generic.

I found it more impressive technically than fun tbh, it's a good example of what the Vita can do and the team was obviously very capable with the device.

I bet Sony wish they had Zipper for porting duties now so many of their first parties are doing awful jobs.

Been sucked back into this today after reading this thread. Not played it for months but after 5 minutes had the controls and game flow all come back.
    A sign of a great game :-)

    Same here!

I put on Thomas Was Alone for less than 60 seconds on the train this morning before I couldn't be arsed with it. Figured I'd have a quick go of Unit 13 and almost missed my stop 45 minutes later! :D

Been playing mission 9 a lot today - raised my score to about 150k, but can't for the life of me work out how the guys in the top 100 are getting >400k scores.

I get that in some levels it's all about triggering wave after wave of bad guys, like the Oil Refinery one where you can nip back and forth in the building site area and they'll just keep respawning.

However, on mission 9 I can only trigger the multi-wave once at the foot of the stairs on the way to the first objective, but that only gives about a dozen baddies, which isn't enough to clock up big numbers.

I've even managed to find two extra guys to get the kill-em-all bonus, but it's not like the pair of them do much to boost the score.

Nobody currently on my friends list has more than 100k on that level - even ViciousHead/Proguitarist, so if anyone has any pointers... ;)

    @Zackv4861

    Great job Zack.

I have only ever played this is short spells and have never really got me chompers into it like my other games. I think it is the bite size missions and lack of any decent story or characters that stop me from getting stuck into it.

Still what I did play was well put together and the missions were tricky so you have the respect of The Mighty Rose, yes, THE Mighty Rose for getting the plat on this. If you managed to max out the characters that is!

Tim Rose might give it another go at some point in the future.

Yeah i got the platinum. To be honest it was easy it's a case of trial and error and getting to know the levels. I would have loved it a bit more linear with a story too

What sucks is that the final level kind of sets it up for a sequel. I would have loved them to get the chance to build upon it and release something with a more coherent story mode like the early SOCOM games had.

The last couple of days I've gone back to playing the HVT's again, trying to best my high score on Wizard - mostly so I can share the intel and help some newbie get past it.

It's frickin' nails, though - a slight misjudgement on that level at any point and you're dead. Still can't believe they have that mission as only the second High Value Target.

    ...about 1600MB.

I think I'm just trying to justify this purchase to myself. Spending over 40 on a memory card had affected me on a deep level.

Managed 230k on mission 23 this morning. Good for 14th in Europe.

Left some points on the table, too. :-)

Found another 30,000 points on mission 30 earlier. I'm always sure I've rinsed everything I can out of each level, except for the stealth ones because I can't be arsed with them, so I'm always amazed at how a play-through can sometimes lead to a goldmine of undiscovered points.

It wasn't even a perfect run through, either - took a bullet just before the mid-mission checkpoint. I've also noticed that the big scores on Elite missions seem to come with Zeus rather than Chuckles. Seems a bit cheap to get Zeus injured early just to stack up the redline bonuses, but if that's the key to unlocking big scores I suppose I should give it a go. :)

I tended to lean towards one of the stealth characters for the Elite missions but I think I did get a few 5 stars with the shotgun guy.

Killed all the Most Wanted people but could not be arsed with replaying the missions to level up the characters. (I was in a Wifi free part of the world when I was playing this. So I might have fealt different with online leaderboards).

The online leaderboards really motivate me, for some reason. Cracking the top 50 for a level properly means something, as the only folk left playing it are hardcore!

There are few games I'll still play a year and a half after I've bought them. Unit 13 hasn't left the game card slot on my Vita for more than a few days since I got it. :-)

Good grief, it turns out it does make a difference using Zeus and getting those redline bonuses. I've gone from 160,000 to 253,674 on mission 30 and it was by no means a perfect run.

Think I'll go back and attempt some of the other Elite missions using that character. Seems a bit cheap deliberately getting shot at the start to bring the redline bonus up, but then it's a total nerve tearing battle to the end of each checkpoint without taking another hit. Had a better score than the one above come to nothing because I got careless with the final two guys on the level.
