@Murbal I only retweeted it as a semi service announcement because most of the followers are Persona fans. I personally hated Persona 1 but of course, I also paid the full £20 for it :p

Persona 1 is probably my least favourite (still like it though!), but it did start the series. With your backlog though I wouldn't recommend it Murbal! ;)

Not played Persona , but (I may have already mentioned it...) really disliked P2 and the all too frequent random battles...

Heard good things about P3 and am looking forward to getting hold of P4G when it comes out over here.

P4G is great (nearly 90 hours in...). And as I'm sure you know, it has no random battles. :p

I have to admit though, Persona 2 probably has my favourite set of characters in the series.

I'll be commenting later (too much prose to cut through). The complaint about XSEED's game not being available in Aus/New Zealand (or any of their other games for that matter) I thought, while harsh, did require some comment and a response was duly given.
Right, back to this. I did warn many on here that there was a delay for the game to be built with the patch embedded. All of the reasons I can gather are speculation (especially number 1 as I didn't get a "clear" answer from the dev :p)

    1. The decision was made because it would have cost extra to put out a patch in addition to the original version - so the dev cancelled the submission (or put it on hold - no idea how it works) to submit the new build and same money.

    2. The original version would be late by a few weeks regardless and would garner the same potential criticisms that the US (original) was getting - so, he started working on the patch for the US and rebuilding the EU version to incorporate it.

Regardless, I think the patched version was the dev's own way of saying sorry. Just like the Dyad developer cut the price for PSN+ users for the first few weeks after the late EU release.

I do fall into demand mode at times (Azure Dreams (lol), Technika Tune (T_T), ATLUS (who really need to sort themselves out with regards to Europe!)) but I do go through a lot of reasoning before I actually post any criticisms - well, most of the time.

That said, I'm refusing RCR for a different reason - I have a backlog and I want either Orgarhythm or Sumioni :p. However, I'll just say, yes I don't like that people decided to vent their anger that way. If it's because they've got other games on, fine. Venting anger because they want to is (in my opinion) not on.

(After all, it's just 2 months - where's my Yggdra Union ATLUS?! :()

@santashi I probably wouldn't play anything else if that came out on PSN. I'd be too busy telling everyone to buy it. One of my all time favourites.

@HiddenAway I poured a lot of time into that game. Absolutely brilliant. The gameplay and design really struck a chord with me. I wonder if I still have it somewhere. Weird to think that it was over 10 years ago now!

And yes, I agree that the store needs more Atlus games.

Right, lots to get through today! Let's get on with it.

First off, XSEED have "sort of" sorted out their localisation issues for Vita and have come straight in with Orgarhythm and Sumioni: Demon Arts on some EU stores (a lot are sadly missing out at the moment). Orgahythm is a rhythm based strategy game where you tap out commands to your troops to get them to advance or fight. Meanwhile, Sumioni is an adventure game drawn in the same style of graphics as Okami and has you running through levels while painting on the screens - with your finger obviously, not real paint.

Also released today is the much desperately wanted Retro City Rampage. Remember, it is YOPO, so you only need to buy one version or the other to get Vita and PS3 versions. A trial is also available if you need to double check. Finally, there's Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable, which would have gotten top billing if it wasn't for the err - you'll see later in the main list.

Finally, there's 2 minis bundles (?), with Pick of the Crop containing Farm Frenzy games and Well Rounded Player containing the minis version of Treasures of Montezuma, Snowy: The Bear's Adventures and Enchanted Cavern.

Oh, and finally, finally, there are some PSP games up for sale, including the delicious Everybody's Golf 2 and Everybody's Tennis for under £5 each. Get on it!

Oh, and finally, finally, finally, Jet Set Radio is now on PSN+ for members at no extra cost!

    Next Week
Time to get your headphones ready and butter those poopers. The Corpse Party is coming back to town and this time, it has a Shadowy Book...

    16th January 2013

    ****Full Vita Games****
    Orgarhythm - £11.99
    Sumioni: Demon Arts - £7.99
    Retro City Rampage - £8.99

    ****Vita Trials and Demos****
    Retro City Rampage (T)

    ****PSP minis****
Pick of the Crop - £2.79
    Well-Rounded Player - £2.49

@DarkSpaceDS Not through the vita's store. However you might be able to download it using a ps3 or if you already own it on PSP you could be able to get it through the Vita's transaction history - that's what I did with Killzone.

On top of the sale items above Battle Royale is £19.99 on PSN later today. Should mean you get both versions and if PS+ you get ten percent off too.

Sonic Racing Transformed is ace. Better than Wipeout as long as the frame rate holds up (which is most of the time).

What Murbal says. Truly excellent. Silly framerate issues though. Something I just don't get: it's a kart racer. With nice graphics. But come on.

If it's anything like Outrun 2006 PSP (also by Sumo) was, I won't be getting it. Poor frame-rate in that game put me right off.

Yeah, they have a point, but they have clearly chased the game designer (author of the article) away.

AH. Didn't spot that, skipped straight to the comments. Bit disrespectful really. But nobile ports aren't what the Vita needs. Give us something different. Or if you are going to port, make it something we can use our sticks with!
