Registered 5 years agoI'd be happy if connecting to PSN didn't freeze the game forcing a reboot of the machine.
The devs put up some tips about forwarding certain ports on your router to fix it because it's a known issue but that doesn't work, unsurprisingly.
The should just patch the fucking thing. -

Registered 5 years agoNot even bothered using my online pass yet, seems pointless with the issues people are talking about but I'll say this much, the graphics keep blowing me away on this, just got to the level where its in the sky, with no sides, amazing.
Didn't really fancy this as I'm shit at wipeout games but got it as an afterthought and its by far my most played game. Addicted to trying to get elites and beat other peoples scores.
Pretty annoying all the notifications though 'xxxxx has beaten you on xxxx by 0.0001 seconds' Stop beating me!!

Registered 10 years agoThis game is worth the price of the vita alone (and vita is one of the cheapest big console launches I can think of).
Quality -
Anyone know how many Near challenges you upload at any one time? I like the idea of going around my area dropping challenges down but have a feeling you can only have one at a time?

Registered 1 year agoIs anybody having problems opening up wipeout after downloading the patch? The startup won't work unless i cancel it connecting to psn. Which means only single player can be played, as if I launch multiplayer whilst in the game it crashes again. -
It's fine for me. If you have the Twatter then @wipeout2048 or @drstulovegrove are pretty responsive.

Registered 4 years agoAny videos of the time trial on Capital Reach? I can't beat 2:30 to get an Elite pass. Closest I've come is 2:30.49
But since that I can't go faster than 2:33.
The fastest time on the track globally is 2:00...

Yup, 10 tracks plus another 4 or so from HD if you include crossplay, plus serious hints that Vita versions HD and Fury will be added later on this year.
Had my first long online session with a friend last night. It works really well IMO. I love the requirements for suspccess in each races not necessarily being related to coming first. Really adds an edge to the whole thing. I can see myself spending a lot of time with that mode.

@Pinky_Floyd and @fuzzyduck if you've unlocked the TT mode ( not too far into single player ), then simply do a TT then hit pause and hit the checkered flag button when you're happy with your time. The next screen will have a Near button, hit that and you'll get taken to the Near app to upload your time as a game good. Upload it and return to the year 2048, 49 or 50.

It'll be available to people nearby plus people on your friends list.

Ah, cheers for that. Was a bit annoyed at the digital manual in that it's mostly health and safety warnings! I'm thinking about picking up SSX on Friday, so i might take a break from having the eyes sheered out of my head

Agree on the structure, it's nigh on perfect learning curve IMO.
As for the spoiler.
The prototype Feisar is genius. I love the fact that you have to hit the boost pads to make it sing. A few of the races I've had have seen me fall behind a place at the beginning of a lap only to gain 4 by the end of it. Rinse and repeat. Endlessly satisfying.

Yup, the prototype Feisar is indeed genius. It presents an excellent risk/reward in that if you're not getting a good line and hitting the speed pads, you're time is completely ruined, but you're seriously hoofing it if you are nailing them.
I love the weird, primeval roar from the ships on this too, really gives the sensation that the tech isn't as refined as what's used in later antigrav seasons.Girl, you thought he was a man, but he was a muffin.

Just don't do what I did and accidentally use it for a combat event - there weren't any boost pads on the track at all.
