Darksiders 1 and 2 for 8 quid in the Daily Deal today... seems like a pretty good deal compared to most of the dailies so far.

I tried Darksiders 1 (the x360 back compat version) a while ago but couldn't get into it. Still tempted at that price though.

Redout: Lightspeed Edition is down by 33% in this week's Deals With Gold. Have any Wipeout fans tried it?

Just realised this post and the top one on this page make me sound like an Xbox shill. I promise I am no an Xbox shill.

    :)

I have too many games still to play. One of the reasons being I kept buying games that seemed like a good deal. But I could have just waited the extra 18 months to buy at even further discounted prices because that is when I would probably get around to playing them :)

Not convinced by the games with gold offering the incredible adventures of Van Helsing 3 looks like another poor diablo clone.

Tell me about it, I bought Assassin's Creed: Unity from CDKeys for Ł1.34 about a year ago, never played it, now it's 59p!

Someone went digging in Microsoft's online back passage and then posted this.

As always with rumours, take with a grain of salt. Apparently the same user did the same thing a couple of years ago and much of what they posted was correct.

Would definitely take a new fable and perfect dark but I'll take it with a pinch of salt. MS need something to deliver this year exclusive wise.

That same poster has now seen signs of something Banjo-Kazooie 20th anniversary-related.

    Again: pinch of salt.

Yeah, I'm well up for that.

We should get an idea how Playground will use the One X in ten days - the patch for Horizon 3 will be out then.

I don't care much for GAF leaks, but it's about time we got a new Mech Assault.

Not sure how interested I am in a new Fable. Though I think it was just the humour that mostly got to me in previous games, along with Molyneux's nonsense, so a new studio's take on the game might be what I'd need from it.

I'd be up for a new Fable, even more so if they kept couch co-op in. Fable 3 was one of the few mp games that was fun and accessible enough that Mrs Hermit completed the story with me.

I've never really been interested in Fable as a series, to be honest. I've mostly just watched other people play them, and they've never really appealed to me. If Playground is the team to make a new one though, I'd at least pay attention.

As for Perfect Dark, I think it could work really well as an immersive-sim kind of thing. Either third- or first-person perspective, reasonably open levels, multiple objectives/routes/options, Joanna Dark's spy gadgets, climbing/clambering to get about and find new points of ingress etc. Sci-fi/cyberpunk-y setting, bit of humour where possible...

That honestly sounds like my dream game. Which is why it will never happen. Also, Dishonoured 2/DotO, Prey and DXMD all kind of flopped afaik, so there's another reason not to be cheerful.

Oh. I've gone and made myself sad on a Friday afternoon :(

Some more fuel for the fire of Playground/Fable rumours. From GamesIndustry.biz guy:

    Tweet 1

Tweet 2 (Playground's second studio, now rumoured to be making Fable, is based in Leamington Spa).

Tweet 3 (very obviously hinting at PG here, though whether he knows more or is just repeating the current rumours, I don't know)

I thought Fable 1 was great, Fable 2 amazing and 3 a bit boring. Still, I'd be well up for a new one. Hopefully they can get it back on track.

    Former Lionhead/Fable Engine lead says...

Looks like a new Fable is all but confirmed, then.

A proper Fable sequel without Molly would be very interesting.

Let's have a bit more time spent in QA too please.

I love the world, the games less so as the series went on.

Playground really really like their icons, Horizon 3 got way too dense, so much i ended up giving up. I hope they take the Zelda approach to open world design. Fable is ripe for it.

Loved the Fables. Great world building, fun, diverse and creative. (Albeit slightly too many fart jokes, but I can give that a pass :)). Wonder what a new a Fable would look like. Open world? Reboot? Co-op? Multiplayer? Battle Royale? i think as long as they get the character right then it has a good chance.

As long as a new Fable will let your coop partner quiz you on why you got a STD in game then no sell :-)

I had the opposite problem with Horizon 3 - as the game doesn't give you icons (or activities) until the corresponding festival has been built, you can find yourself driving through an empty map, which was not great imho.

Icons didn't bother me at all in Horizon because driving about just doing shit as you saw it was ace.
