    I bet in reality you could double those numbers to be closer to Saviles true toll. I'm sure lots of his victims haven't and will never report the crimes.

    Also, the scale of it all must mean that his behaviour was an open secret in the circles he mixed in. It's not even like he didn't look the type.

    I reckon no one blew the whistle (or allowed it to be blown by the public) whilst he was alive was because he could and would have brought a load of high profile policemen/politicians/celebrities down with him. Again, an open secret - no point trying to grass up Jimmy.

    I think there was one actual claim that was never proven, nor completely substantiated.

    Coronation Street actor Kevin Le Vell(Kevin Webster)has been charged with 19 offences conducted over a 9 year reign of terror. Crimes are alleged to have taken place between 2001-2010

    Offences mentioned so far are raping a child,indecently assaulting a child and sexual activity with a child

    He was arrested back in September, charges dropped in January for lack of evidence.

    Story is the case against him was reviewed. The legal adviser to the Director of public prosecutions decided there is enough evidence to charge him

    Most of his story lines involved hanging out around semi clothed lesbian barely legals, and one had him frequently romping with a very young girl.

    It was a huge shock, he'd been in Corrie for years at that point, and there he was clean shaven, ordering a 12" Margarita and a couple of beers. Obviously in disguise.

    I've chatted to him a few times over the years (at kids football matches, standing in the designated evil-parents-who-smoke area), always seemed ok to me. I know a mate of his who seems a decent bloke too. Best just never going out really.
