I'm a Nintendo person myself, but even I can say that this thread will only end in tears.

edit: also, World of Goo should be bolded

This thread has a severe lack of Xenoblade Chronicles - therefore it is null and void ;)

MDK2? The Bioware game? Is that on the Wii?

On Wiiware - the pointer controls are everything people expected from the mechanic for shooter games when they first heard about them back in the day.

They make a great game even better.

Nice list jaguarwong, I finally bought a Wii (arrived yesterday), so I can use this! Thanks for putting it together.

You omitted Xenoblade Chronicles though :-)

    RE: Xenoblade Chronicles

I haven't played it, I don't really 'do' RPGs. I would have expected it to show up through the bold Metacritic additions...

I guess I must have deleted it accidently - apologies - but it's too late to revise now!

The bold games are the ones I've pulled in from Metacritic because I didn't like them or haven't played them - I've played, and loved, World of Goo.

In fact, it's probably my 2nd or 3rd favourite game on the machine.

You do realise you could have played that on the PC for less than a tenner?

It's a great list for reminding us that the Wii didn't having very many good games.

I love the Wii, I don't care what people say it really does have some great games. Some of the ones you've for bold are surprising - Mario Galaxy? Seriously? How can you champion the Wii and not have played Mario Galaxy?

    /also hasn't played Mario Galaxy

Or 'free' like 90% of PC owners did?

I have played it, I just didn't like it. Too saccharine, too easy, too repetitious. Nice level design though.

    Fair enough :)

Do try Xenoblade though. Even if you're not usually into RPGs, give it a go anyway. I'd happily have bought a Wii to play it. And a TV.

I don't see what piracy's got to do with anything.

To be honest, you'd be really stretching it to name 100 great Xbox 360 games, so trying to do it for the Wii is a step too far.

Really? I have about 40 games on 360 that I'd consider great and I don't like the vast majority of mainstream fodder - I'd assume 100 would be no problem for some?

I'm not saying that these are all masterpieces but every game up there is at least an 8/10

Well, I guess its how you qualify "great" as opposed to "good".

Yeah, I still rate my games on a ten point scale (as opposed to the 4 point scale used by the games press) so 6-7 = Good, 8-9 = Great, 10 = Masterpiece
