So, Ive just seen the pilot for Ryan Murphys horror show (yes, its the guy who created Glee) and it was the weirdst 50 min of TV Ive seen in the last few years.
Its so fucking bizarre, its full of creepy characters. I know its getting bad reviews but I just cant wait for the next episode.

I thought it was pretty poor, to be honest, like watching an episode of Paranormal Witness or A Haunting, but with manarse and wanking. And the jump cuts were just annoying.

Not bad, but it felt like the put every horror cliche into a box and mixed it up to create this show. A bit of The Shining here, a bit of American Gothic there, a whole load of Amityville and you've got this show.

Might carry on watching just to see the family being ripped apart by demons.

Second episode was alright but the whole thing keeps getting more and more bizarre. It seems we will be getting a flashback of a different murder in the house in the beginning of every episode.
Im not sure how they are going to turn things around after the ending of this episode, it will be interesting to see how they will make the family stay there. Bonus points for having the lovely Kate Mara in this last episode, I hope we get to see more of her.
This might be a terrible show but Im totally addicted.

Apparently this is a very bad Twin Peaks? That's how it's been described to me by a friend anyway...?

This is nothing like Twin Peaks. The only things they have in common are weird characters, murders and supernatural beings. As Ged42 said, this is more of a mix between The Shinning, American Gothic and Amityville.
You should give it a chance. It seems that the pilot is the worst episode of the first 4, the next 2 will pick things up a bit.

Im enjoying this so far. Im sure Jessica Lange will have some trick up her sleeve to keep them there, kinda like the stunt she was pulling with the cupcake (assuming she was intending for the mum to eat it, to make her sick so she believes the pregnancy is normal)

This keeps getting better, they finally started to reveal some of the secrets. Next episode will be an Halloween themed episode with Zachary Quinto.

We've been watching, and have to say, really enjoying this. Totally oblivious to negative reviews til now.

Although, in fairness, we watched it after the pilot of Person of Interest, which despite the fucking immense names of Jonathan Nolan and J.J Abrams, was utter gash.

AHS is getting weirder every week, which is great. Probably where the Twin Peaks comparisons come into play.

Watched all three episodes back to back today.

Don't really understand the negative reviews at all. It's not amazing or anything but it is solid, unique and quite impressive for the TV budget they are working with. It's in my weekly line-up now anyway.

It's like every corny urban legend rolled into one confusing mess involving unlikeable characters and no particular direction.

That last ep will be the last one I bother with.

This is coming to FX soon?

Apparently episode 1 is the most horror ever. Do me a favour.

Damn, the first part of the Halloween episode was so good. The quality of the episodes just keeps on increasing.
The ratings for this have been great, its FXs most watched show since The Shield so a second season is very likely.

I'm really starting to lose track of who is alive and who is dead.

It's definitely getting better with each episode though, Sylar/Spock bloke is still excellently creepy

I watched the first episode of this last night on FX and thought it was fantastic.

Already looking forward to it going down some dark and uncomfortable paths, it seems to have a pretty strong cast with some favourites brought in from the likes of Six Feet Under, True Blood and Friday Night Lights.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

Good to see more people are enjoying this, it gets even better. Last nights episode was great once again. They are really getting some fantastic guest stars : Kate Mara, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, that fat gay guy from Modern Family.

I did notice one thing - they seem to be obsessed with upskirting the young girl that's in it. Bizarre.

Watched the first two episodes and been laughing my way through it. Will watch more but its not a horror or close to the surealness of twin peaks. The last episode of twin peaks freaked me out

I watched this week's episode last night and I'm still enjoying it, it has a few creepy moments. It's nowhere near the same quality as Twin Peaks, but I'm finding it entertaining enough.

I would like to know what happened to the mother's face, it looks like someone set alight to it and put it out with a cricket bat.

I haven't noticed any upskirting. Pretty sure I would.
