Strange how that Mike guy just turned up again with no real explanation.

I thought the last ten minutes or so were alright but far too much boring teen soap before that.

Episode 4 was mostly great and the ending was a genuine surprise to me but it made sense. The Dana/Leo stuff was a little dull though and distracted from the Carrie scenes but I guess they had to pad it out with something.

It made no sense at all. It was in the realms of 'omgz nina's a baddie!"

It made sense, but only if she had contacted Saul after the lawyer guy first talked to her. Having them planning it all along is a real stretch.

It requires a couple of weird leaps of reality (like how Carrie told him to fuck off when they were completely alone) to be all that feasible. I thought it was an interesting twist but it really felt like "shit, this story isn't going so well, let's change tack" rather than anything well planned.

Yeah, the scene where Carrie told Saul to fuck off doesn't seem to make sense because they were both alone so she'd have no reason to play act. However, she'd just undergone some pretty horrific treatment so her reaction could be interpreted as her just being angry at Saul for asking her to go through with it in the first place. That's my take on that as she was barely able to speak.

And isn't Dana's new boyfriend, Zack Hamilton, the guy who Dexter was tutoring before he had a chunk of his brain cut out by Saxon?

Or, they could have concocted the plan after the lawyer guy talked to her, which I think was after the "fuck you Saul" bit.

I think you are looking for an explanation and clues where there isn't any. Judging by the amount of pointless filler per episode this is turning into Dexter at an alarming rate.

How would she have been in contact with Saul though when she had no access to phones or mobiles. Also, it would have looked suspicious if Saul had visited her after the lawyer had, after all he knew where Carrie had spent the night this week so they were watching her. I think it started with her outburst in the restaurant and everything after that was all part of that plan.

One of the writers confirmed it was supposed to have been a plan from the start.

Well, she borrowed her lawyers phone. Maybe then.

But never mind, apparently it was a plan from the start. Err, feels a lot like 4th dimensional chess on Saul's part. "Hey, let's get Carrie alienated from the CIA on purpose on the off chance that someone will try to turn her." What?

Anyway, I still liked the ending, if only because it gives me an excuse to like Saul again.

I hope Brody gets the boot, didn't miss him at all in the first two episodes. Enough teen romance, where on earth is that thread going. Seems too obvious Saul's mate is dodgy so I think Saul more likely has an agenda of his own. Need more Quinn.

The overacting of the Brody character is hilarious, it was bad before but more comical than ever now.

Finally caught up with this. It was indeed a bit of a leap of faith but they could have just been exaggerating the act. They don't know what hidden cameras are hidden around the mental facility so it could be argued were playing their parts even when they didn't need to just in case.

That is some leap of faith tbh.

Also, fuck the Dana show. Needs to be taken out by a bus. Never liked her from the start, and she's only gotten worse.

Ugh. The Dana thing was annoying enough without it infecting the main storyline. Now we're supposed to believe that Carrie would risk blowing her cover to save a kid that the police were probably going to find anyway.

    Please make it stop.

I'm giving up on this show, it really doesn't have anywhere interesting to go now.

Better I guess, but still not great. Disappointing, I need my counter terrorism hit.

    Edit: E4

The reason for that is that most of what we've seen could have easily fitted in 10 minutes.

    OMG DO SOMETHING.

Last episode was better than the first 3, still not impressed. Think breaking bad has spoilt my expectations.

I liked Saul going off on one. Other than that...

What is the pill thing with Carrie, does she need them or not, was her new method of control real or part of the ruse ?

    Well, that was some episode.

Dana moving out seemed a bit extreme, but hopefully it means that her storyline will leave everyone else alone for an episode or two.

And Carrie is pregnant. Wait, what? To who? How? She had that one night stand, but it seems a bit weird to start a new storyline because of that. It couldn't possibly be Brody's... could it? That would stretch the disbelief pretty far, even for this show.
