It doesn't look like die hard, it looks like a generic Bruce Willis action film (which is essentially what 4 was too).

Well, where were they really going to go with it? It's exceeded far past where the original story line was supposed to take it.

They should have gone back to the boat idea. Nobody remembers Under Siege anymore.

Old and moody Willis can't do Mcclane anymore that was hugely evident in "Die Hard" 4. They should just let it go peacefully instead of trampling over Die Hard's corpse some more.

Not much to go on with that trailer other than lots of explosions and like Sly any Arnie Bruce is far too old for action flicks. It's not Die Hard, that series ended with the wonderful swang song of DH3.

He's not too old, there's just no story left to tell for DH. Whatever they do it'll seem stretched but taking it to anotehr continent is probably the very worst choice.

I dunno I think they left it far too long for 4 and Willis is too old now, he can't really pull off wise cracking McClane anymore and is just not believable in that role.

I don't think it's down to story left to tell, really there was no story left to tell after 1 but 2 and 3 still work (2 moved it away to the realm of silly sure but still worked).

I don't think he's too old. Still looks like a badass, and he played a similar sort of role in Red and that was fine. I mean it's not like Indiana Jones 4, where he just looked like an old man.

    Looks utterly preposterous.

Going to be R Rated in the states. Probably means a 15 here without any cuts. Bad language and violence ahoy!

I think it's just the American obsession with ratings, now Hollywood actually make films to hit a certain rating for wider audience rather than just make a film if a film is made with a higher rating it is surprising.

Not sure why it's relevant to a Die Hard movie myself though, they've never really been over the top or graphic in the violence even in the first one.

Given the flack surrounding how neutered Die Hard 4 was, I'm not surprised it's news.

In other news, the original Die Hard has now been rated 15 uncut. Times are changing.

I've always felt McClane is at his best when he just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (first 3) and seems to get through situations using a combination of luck, having smart backup, and shooting stuff. He's a bit too awesome at stuff now.

Though to be fair, I think the style of film that features the everyman hero isn't really in fashion - it's all Bourne, Bond and Bryan (Mills, form Taken), with their already established super spy skills. So he has to be awesome now. Heck, he can't not end up awesome after all his shenanigans!

/Hopes no-one notices I mostly ripped this sentiment off from Cracked, though it is how I feel :p

I'm going to see this on Friday at the IMAX. Really looking forward to it.

It looks as though there's another one in the works as well. When this happens I'll expect him to be totally indestructible (if he ins't already). So he would have done an original Die Hard trilogy and a 'Superman" Die Hard trilogy.
