Registered 11 years agoI found a V7 pilot hi-tecpoint 0.7 kicking around in my bag that feels like pure silk to use. Reckon if I can find a box of 0.4 that will become a serious contender for favourite mad scribbling notes pen.
@DB - I dream of a day when I have space for shit like that.-- boobs do nothing for me, I want moustaches and chest hair.

I got this pencil eventually, it's very nice. Bit annoyed that it didn't come in a fancy presentation case like the ones that my colleagues have got. Just a cheapo cardboard box. But that's probably just ungrateful of me.smoothpete wrote:
Gorgeous. They're bloody expensive as well.Dirtbox wrote:
Cool. I believe it's the silver pencil from the Ivanhoe range. My work gives them out as 5-year employee gifts. Then if you stick around for 10 years you get the biro, then I think the fountain pen at 15 yearssmoothpete wrote:
Yeah, lovely. They've got a brilliant retro range as well that I keep staring at.
Are Caran D'Ache any good? I'm getting one of their propelling pencils soon
Not sure when I'm ever going to use this pencil but its a nice thing to have -

Yes that's the one. I don't know about the material though. Rhodium? IIRC mine is stainless steel but it looks exactly the same
Is it this one?

Registered 11 years agoI find small, expensive and losable things a stress to carry about. Lighters and pens are classic examples of things you watch like a hawk with rising panic if they're out of your grasp.

Anyway, getting back to stationery, I've found that there's a company that are stocking the 'remake' of the Palomino Blackwing 602, aka 'The best pencil ever made'.
Bit pricey at £24.95 for a dozen, but I thought I'd give 'em a go.
Will report back.

Picked some up today.
Nice pencil!
Ideal for writing, probably less good for sketching and so on, as it doesn't take a particularly fine point, but the tag line about 'Half the pressure, twice the speed' is spot on - you hardly have to touch the paper to make a mark. -
