Lists need explanation, otherwise it's just a faceless name of a game you know nothing more about now than you did before you read that person's list. Ok, you think game X is worth playing, but that doesn't tell me why I should feel that way!
Good point. Here goes.
Ever
Fallout 2 - PC - because it was so friggin big, bleak (killing children and working as a fluffer FTW), funny and violent. And because the Speech and Science skills actually mattered.
Flashback - Amiga - because it was so gorgeous to look at, and the world felt *real*
K240 - Amiga - because it was Colonization in space, with aliens, big fleets and virus missiles.
This gen
Bad Company 2 - because the MP is second to none, and it looks and sounds fan-tastic.
Arkham Asylum - because it is so very, very well-crafted and manages to make the Batman universe interesting to someone who couldn't give a shit about the comics. Oh, and the combat is awesome.
Mass Effect 2 - because I haven't felt that my actions *mattered* like that in any other game.
