Nice work with the reviews guys! I felt the EG review was quite poor. It wreaks of either somebody not putting the time into the game, or the review. It's most probably the former, which is really naughty! Quite a bit of innacurate information too, from the sounds of things.

It's great to hear this game has both depth and a clear distinction from other music-based games. Not that I wasn't going to get it, anyway! :D

Pretty much every Simon Parkin review does this. Occam's Razor, anyone?

So keen to pick this up but I've barely touched Kid Icarus and I have Kingdom Hearts on pre-order. This is the perfect dip in and out of game though so it's actually more likely that I'd play this and not touch the others /o\

It did amuse me when I saw the Rhythm Paradise review. I thought they'd get someone that doesn't have a core lack of understanding when it comes to rhythm games to review it, or at the very least someone that doesn't try to bring up Rock Band, as if that's somehow relevant in a review for a game that doesn't have to worry about selling you peripherals.

But nope, it's the same guy that bungled the review for this! Also makes it clearer that he definitely didn't play either game enough if he's had time to do both reviews.

I've never trusted EG reviews though, I come here for you lovely people and your views :)

The problem I have with rhythm games is that they crowbar their way into your free time. You load one up, intending to play just a few songs before something else. Then, three hours later...

@uiruki that's precisely what happened to me with Elite Beat Agents!

    and me with rhythm thief.

my main issue is my perfectionism. I cant leave a song alone until i have got the highest marks. This is fine for the easier levels but on harder difficulties i can spend upto 4-5 hours on one song

Got given my copy this morning and have already put a couple of hours into it. Loving every second, from the look of the characters to the superbly arranged themes on every menu screen. Off to London on Saturday so hopefully I'll rack up some street passes and come home with lots of dark notes.

I dont normally quibble about review scores but 7 seems like a massive injustice to me. I hope it doesn't put anyone off.

I can't either. I wondered if it was due to them not updating the store yet. They normally do on Thursdays though don't they? So maybe we'll be able to connect later.

Mine will be dispatching tomorrow :( It's my fault though - I pre-ordered it in April on a card that expired in May. Did I switch the order over to my new card when it arrived? No. No I did not /o\

I have done that before, it is such an easy thing to do but so annoying when it happens. I wish there was someone to have it update your b/c or c/c details automatically lol

Yeah, it is annoying! I checked the order about three times yesterday and didn't once think to double-check the payment details!

Ah well, I guess it means I can focus on finishing off Gravity Rush over the weekend and play the Theatrhythm demo a few more times...

The DLC store is open now, but there's nothing in it.

I thought there were supposed to be plenty of songs to downnload as part of the eshop update this week?

There's supposed to be eight new songs on the store this week (including FFX's lovely 'A Fleeting Dream'). I wonder what the hold-up is.

I just tried my first Ultimate song.

    Sweet jesus!

And I thought the Expert score was pretty damn tough...

How many hours have you put into it so far, dark? You seemed to be permanently online playing it! :)

I tried the Ultimate versions on the demo and struggled through somehow. Think Expert will be my skill level limit.

Really quite enjoying this at the moment. Some nice memories but it also reminds me of my current ambivalence towards the FF series as it is now.

I do however feel that some of the arrow movements can be a little hit and miss. I realise that the game states full movement but there are times when I feel I've nailed it only to recieve a 'bad' rating.

I do hope the release some songs from some of the other games such as FFX-2, FF Tactics, etc.

I'm also hoping for some FF Tactics DLC along with the first Crystal Chronicles game. That had some really nice Celtic style themes.

Tactics had some great tunes. So did Tactics Advanced.

I'd like some of the music from Vagrant Story to make an appearance too (it's connected to 12, so it's a possibility).
